“We stayed here in November and loved it. So, we decided to book here again. This time was even better. And that’s all because of Donald who works at the front desk. We had an issue with third-party booking and Donald would not give up until he accommodated us. He was very kind, professional, patient, and helpful. All of those qualities go along way when you deal with the public. I don’t know who decides when Donald gets a raise, but whoever it is, please give it to him ASAP. He is awesome. If it were not for him, we would have left the property. Thanks Donald!”

“My family & I stayed two nights here & it was a really good experience overall. Everyone was polite and nice from the desk staff to the housekeepers. The rooms were comfortable and had a fresh smell. The beds were very comfortable as well. My children enjoyed the added feature of the nightlight in the bathroom & I loved the fact that the door slid open between the bathroom and closet to allow that light to come into the sleeping area. I hate the feeling of a super dark hotel room & this made the room feel super comfortable. The continental breakfast selection was superb & the eating area was super clean! There was an issue with our toilet and maintenance was sent quickly. The issue was fixed quickly as well. Extra towels were also requested & came quickly. The downsides for me are as follows: no microwave in our room & the bathroom floor was sticky and possibly dirty (since my feet showed signs of it when I stepped into the shower). However, I appreciated the refrigerator in the room. Overall, it was a great experience & we will be back if we’re in the area again.”

“I’m still not sure why this place is called a “resort.” Nevertheless, the rooms are nice and spacious. The pool is really small, I wish there was a hot tub in addition to the tiny pool. The fitness center was pretty basic. The location was the best given that you’re walking distance to the French quarter and the Magazine area. I’d definitely stay again. The staff was very friendly, but it’s Ms. Sue that is the biggest asset to this location. She is a ball of joy with an infectious smile that emits beautiful, radiant energy.”

“What a wonderful hotel! The room was so cozy with adorable antique touches. If you are the type of traveler who likes staying in spots with history, you will love the Rathbone. Other reviewers mentioned issues with their cars, but we were here two nights and had no issues at all. We did bring all our luggage into our rooms and didn’t leave anything visible in the car, but that feels like normal city protection against smash and grabs. Every person we interacted with at the hotel was lovely. They gave us tips on what part of town to visit, which jazz clubs to hang out at, and made us feel right at home. My only complaint is we didn’t stay long enough! See y’all again soon.”

“Wife and I traveled down from Pennsylvania to visit some friends and participate in a global paranormal event and stayed here. Even though the owners were on vacation, house boat was very clean and environment was amazing. While the bathroom was small, that made little effect on our overall experience. Highlight was the amazing “parking attendant and guest relations specialist” Bo Bo the dog. Very friendly and only asked for pets. I’m apart of several events in the paranormal community and will definitely recommend and stay myself again.”
