“We stayed at a cabin during the winter months, and it was a perfect experience. Clean facilities and cabin, amazing location, cabin heating superb, and for once what is an extra in many other places (bedsheets put on, towels, but also enough dishwasher tabs and toilet paper, soap etc.) was simply included. The restaurant was very good too (for a campground). It is a child and dog friendly place, but at least in the winter months, it still felt calm and peaceful. Would recommend, and we hope to be back.”

“Good location, quiet street, but still in the centre of the city. Big spacious free parking, no problem with spaces. Good breakfast, everything we would like to see. Nice and helpful staff. At night the hotel has no receptionist, you have to collect your keys until late. Funny but useful system for the keys - you leave you big key and take small one with you. Same key opens the front door. Rooms are spacious enough, clean and fresh.”

The location is good, and the rooms were clean and modern and had everything one would need. Definitely recommended to anyone visiting Locarno. “This is a tough review to write, but hopefully helpful to its readers. This place is visually stunning and has so much more potential. The pros: The garden is absolutely stunning! It is such a beautiful place and the pool is a perfect add on - the vibe of the little town, the views, the old building/villa. Amazing! The cons: The service. Especially one staff member (short hair, heavy eastern German dialect) was very rude to us on multiple occasions. Not sure why, maybe it’s just that person way, but this has nothing to do with hospitality. The audience. Not sure why this hotel lets large family groups with multiple small children book, but the tranquility of the hotel and surroundings was completely destroyed and it felt more like a visit to an amusement park. It’s just not the right setting for that (we weren’t the only people annoyed) and the prices are much too high for this type of Experience. If you want to make it family friendly, at least establish ground rules with the guests, so that the other paying customers can still enjoy their stay. The restaurant. The staff here is much better than in the hotel itself, but the prices are outrageous for the quality of food provided. The beef tartar had a very unusual color and consistency (and taste), which was almost rude to serve. The sauce served with fish was a thick, overly-creamy paste which would’ve been a better fit for a home improvement store rather than a restaurant - this dish alone was 42 CHF, we’re talking Zurich prices in a small town that most people haven’t heard of. Overall: Would love to return to the area, but will definitely check out an alternative for the next time.”

“Stars for decent breakfast, cleanliness & comfy bed for being hostel. Not rest of the stars because of the sleepless nights with people banging their doors, shouting, jumping in their dorms (entire room trembling) & playing loud music partying at 2:30-4am + starting again at 7am and then the music school also starts their classes at like 8:30+/-….. Would have rather paid for an airbnb entire place where it would cost just more or less the same price. Luckily didn’t stay more than two sleepless nights and happily leaving this place.”
