“My partner brought me here as he had visited 14 years ago and it didn’t disappoint. We arrived by longboat straight onto the beach. The accommodation was great and adequate for our needs. The views were amazing but more than that the people were so accommodating. Special thanks for Tuna for sorting our accommodation needs and also to Nee for supporting us through our detox. We did a 7.5 day detox and stayed for a total of 18 days. The detox package was well supported and Nam seemed very knowledgeable. We met a great bunch of people also detoxing which was a great support. The yoga also included was excellent with Sophie and Chris. The food in the restaurant is delicious and fully supports post detox eating. William always had a welcoming smile and can do attitude. The 2 surrounding bays are also good with additional restaurants. I would highly recommend this place for either detox or yoga retreat or just to stay as it is idyllic”

“Away from the crowd, quiet and with super friendly staff. It seems that the all the comments left by other guests are really taken into account and any inconveniences are improved. The only disadvantage is that it’s away from a regular shop, if you need one, but there are several restaurants around so you can live without ever moving out of Tanote Bay. Beach and underwater views are magnificent and the beach is listed as one of five snorkeling points around the island. We stayed in small bungalow and it could have more space for keeping items (bigger table, chair, etc., but except for that everything was fine. Shared bathroom (applies to small bungalows) is shared only with adjacent bungalow and this is not really an issue.”

“My partner and I stayed 2 nights at 500 Rai in a private villa room and we had an absolutely lovely time! We would highly recommend this unique experience and in the most beautiful place we have seen in Asia! You will be greeted with kind and smiling staff that are willing to help you with any concerns and there are amazing facilities. If we weren’t on one of the tours we were in the beautiful waters off our villa either swimming or in our private kayak. We loved the afternoon wildlife tour and saw lots of animals including hornbills, bison, deer, monkeys and eagles! Our favourite tour was the cave trek, where you first take a 40 min boat ride that is absolutely stunning and then you get to see a truly untouched cave that is actively growing and so beautiful! We also enjoyed every meal we chose during our stay. Lunch and dinner were 3 course meals and breakfast was so good! They have options for everyone, Western and Thai! Overall, we highly enjoyed our time and would love to do it again one day, this is not something to miss in Southern Thailand! Thank you staff at 500 Rai for being so kind and accommodating during our stay :).”

“Loved the place. Rooms are small. But we spend most of the days exploring so didn't bother too much. Decent location especially if u rent a scooter. Easy parking . We didn't visit the pool but that's our biggest regret. On the last day we went up and had a look and it would have been amazing to sit in and chill on the hot afternoons. The water would have been so cooling. Overall a decent stay especially foe the price. 😁”
