Gave us all the information and upgraded our room to be nice. The room smelled so good and clean - and was clean!! The bed was extremely comfortable & staff was so nice. Could not recommend a stay here more. Just such a beautiful hotel.”

“Let me start by first saying that I have been to the Marshall Slocum 4 times and it never disappoints. Mark has always been a great help at any time no matter what the need might be. The property is beautiful, and there is never an issue with parking. I also have never had any issues with noise while staying there. I don’t have anything but positive accolades for the Inn, the property itself, and all the rooms! I most recently stayed in the cottage and I loved it. I also liked what was called the Captain’s room as well. Really any room there has been wonderful. It’s so centrally located to downtown that you can just walk. No need to get in your car. The rooms are tastefully appointed, and anything you need is either already there or can be easily acquired. The rooms are beautiful, and feel historic in their own way. I would never hesitate to recommend Marshall Slocum Inn. And I know that I will be back. Mark and the staff there are wonderful!”

“We stayed recently for the first time at Whispering Pines Campground. It was close to home, but felt like we were far away from home. The bathrooms were mostly clean, the showers were pretty gross by Saturday night though. However, I was pleased to see they had shelfs in the changing rooms to place your shampoo, razor, etc, and hooks for clothing and towels. The campsites were easy to navigate, we were able to comfortably pull through with a 28 foot rv. The staff was super friendly, the pool and splash pad were well maintained. Check-out was a bit early, noon would have been better. They had live entertainment on Saturday night, activities for the kids, the arcade was great, they had a decent pool table, air hocky, and games. I think the price of the games was too high at a dollar, $.50c would have been rational, the pool table and air hockey were fairly priced at a $1. Overall it was a great weekend. We do large family camp trips each year, we will likely be back.”
