“We had been looking forward to a river short break and images on the website are obviously pre-flooding. I was disappointed to see that the waterfront site (which we paid extra for) was more appropriate to describe as communal bin adjacent and that whilst the council had re-grassed nearby local water front park areas, they have not been active with the caravan park to restore the waterfront area. Very dusty on the warm days. Sound restrictions were not enforced at night by park owners and we were kept up first by screaming teenagers on the 90s era small playground (10pm+) and then groups talking and drinking past midnight. Hard going when travelling with two small children. Amenities block is VERY dated and cleaned only once daily (evidence of cleaning was minimal as dead bugs were everywhere, toilet paper on the floor and unclean toilets). Water pressure was poor and I endured a short but hot water dribble. With these disappointments, we decided to pack up and leave earlier than scheduled as the Big 4 in tailem offers much more for an equivalent cost and still had us within a reasonable distance to the river for fishing (our prime reason for the visit). The waterfront area for fishing in mannum park was a short stretch of reeds scattered with rubbish and people’s parked kayaks. The park has potential to be lovely but we won’t be back. Too many day drinking, rowdy river rats not being respectful of other campers. The service in reception was friendly but not enough to sway us to stay for our booked and prepaid three nights. We left after 24 hours.”

“Stayed in the safari tents. Rooms are neat and clean, amenities are great. It’s perfect for a group of family or friends with the communal area. Staff are great and friendly. No kids policy works well. Couple of things maybe to think about, Hand rails at the steps to enter the tents. Ceiling fans or evaporative air con in communal area. The only negative experience was the Greek food truck. The yiros’s were exceptionally small and overpriced for the small size. In my opinion, the pita bread was pizza bases from supermarket. The meat was very dry and filled with chips. Also a smile wouldn’t go astray. I won’t be going back. The coffee cart was in complete contrast to the Greek truck. Coffee was good, fair price and friendly. Loved the park will definitely be back.”

“My family and I stayed in the new 3 bedroom luxury apartment. The accommodation was amazing - very spacious and clean. We were upstairs in the back row, which gave us extra privacy. We still had an amazing view of the river. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for that extra comfort and space. The staff were also very friendly. We will definitely be returning!”

“This meticulously-tidy park was an absolute joy for us to spend two nights on a very large powered site looking over the lake which was about 8 metres from the back lounge of our motorhome -- just perfect! The showers and toilets were spotless and the camp games/dining area is huge with all sorts of self-entertainment for guests. The owners have a wonderful system of online booking and self check-in, enabling guests to choose their own site online. The town is a comfortable easy walk along the lake's edge. There is a lovely tavern/restaurant right next to the camp, also overlooking the lake.”

The new managers have been more than accommodating , AMAZING to say the least .. doing everything they can to make our stay comfortable & doing their best .. the park / sites are clean & well kept. We have never faulted our stay.. pool is always clean, playground is a treat.. the walk to the river to do a spot of fishing is perfect, very well priced & to say the least the riverfront cabins are SUPERB . “They were able to get us in for 3 nights over the new years period and we were forever grateful. 3 year old son had an absolute ball on the playground and jumping pillow. We were able to have warm showers and use the facilities which were in great condition and clean! “Visited the place with an old friend to have a bite to eat and have a couple of cold beers. When we went there, the place was just opening up for business and there was plenty of seating available, indoors and outside as well. The dining rooms are large, cosy and the outside area is also very nice. We placed our beer order at the bar with the bartender who mentioned that it was his first day in the job at the hotel. The food orders were sorted out at the table and were brought out quite quickly. The pizzas were good and the gentleman waiting on us provided a takeaway box for the leftover pizza. Would be nice to visit this place when it's busy to see and experience the ambience of the place... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“We came in to check in. The 2 ladies there ( one was named Paris, I don’t recall the other ladies name) were so happy and pleasant and helpful. The check in was very easy. We got to our villa, and it was so clean and fresh, and smelled beautiful. The view from our villa was beautiful. We ended up paying for another nights stay because everything was so perfect.”

“Don't stay here if you want a warm shower. They purposely turn the hot water off at ALL times. Even showers early in the morning or early evening are freezing. They turned it back on after lots of complaints but only for a few hours. What a horrible and cruel thing to do to families at Christmas time, especially when you are charging people peak period prices. I will not be staying here again. What a disgusting way to save money. Charge a dollar or something at least to use hot water or use timer showers...but purposely keeping the hot water off all the times is inhumane and just plain rotten. The owners should be ashamed. Talked with a bunch of ladies in the bathrooms about this and we will all never be staying again. Thanks for nothing.”

“Have enjoyed the stay. Powered camp site standard. Not to far to go to restaurant or bar. Pool has been placed perfectly under a shady tree and near the restaurant meaning it is ideally located and provides some shade. Kangaroos and possums to be seen at night. Clear skies provide amazing skylines and the location for walks in to the pound and to the peaks near the pound is perfect. Get up early for the walks to avoid the heat of the day.”
