“I come to Shangri-la often to dine and enjoy the resort. Everytime I’ve been here the service has been hideous in both Docs restaurant and the anchor club house as well as Eddie’s dockside grill. The staff is rude and not customer oriented at all. The food is no better than the service, for being an upscale resort with premium prices customers should expect good service and food. I’d highly recommend replacing some staff or doing some serious retraining. I’m not one to usually complain but this is too bad to let go without some kind of feedback.”

“I booked 2 queens with a pull out couch. When I arrived the front desk attendant was nice. So we proceeded to check in and she said the deposit is just $20 which was nice and swiped my card and she said the total 240 okay that’s what I paid for the 3rd party Priceline so headed to the room and looked at my bank account and it was double charged 1 for the Priceline and 2 for the hotel which she apologized and said she cancelled it but didn’t. The room was nice and the pool was nice as well. As I check out I only stayed 2 nights and was almost charged for 3 nights ALWAYS CHECK OUT and that was 370… so just watch this hotel! I called spoke to a manager and she said she would refund the money and still has not refunded any money.”

“Beautiful location not far from Beavers Bend State Park. The cabin was well-equipped with a full kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a hot tub. The bed was a little high off the floor, but it was comfortable. We stayed in a dog-friendly cabin. The only drawback was a lack of a run or fenced area for the dogs.”

The room was clean, the only issue was the shower needs updated. It had mold on the caulking. Other than that everything was good and we would stay here again.”

“The location is accessible which is nice. It’s a short walk to anywhere I’ve wanted to walk to rather than drive. The location can get noisy on weekends because there are car clubs and motorcycle clubs that hang out across the street in a parking lot. I imagine that a north facing room wouldn’t be as bad. There are a couple small homeless camps nearby but the camps and the people staying in them honestly haven’t been an issue during my long stay here. The parking lot is well lit and a key card is required to access the builder after 10. There are lots of food options nearby as well. 3-4 days out of the week a train comes by very close to the hotel around 7:30 so if you’re not an early riser, choose a different place. I haven’t heard it come by more than a couple times at night though. Overall, it’s a decent hotel and close to a lot of activities and food options. I’d stay here again.”

“Not what you'd expect from what it looks like outside. Could use a paint job. They obviously try to conserve on everything as the creamers and coffee for kurig were all different types. I was first put in room 203 I think and the room was so depressing due to the black tone and paint. Was nice to 217 which was much nicer. Very soft beds. Space is cramped a bit. There was a very wobbly fold out table available. The hair dryer was sticky and dirty. Very deep bathtub and lovely hot water. Quiet location but not walkable to anything of interest. Hardwood floors make it a bit noisy at times. No transport service. All staff are extremely helpful and nice. Good for one visit.”

“My husband and I have come here for years and we were nervous to come this year bc of the recent reviews. But I have to say, it was just as great as it's been every year. We reserved an electric campsite for Friday and Saturday night, months ago. We arrived Friday at noon and the check was very easy. They had my reservation ready. They did mention the bus doesn't pickup at the sites like previous years which is a bummer but they told us to arrive at the office early, they open at 8am. We arrived to the site and immediately noticed they have been working on the sites (late night sites) and they now have water!! Huge plus!!! The bathrooms were clean. Yes there were bugs in the showers but its not bad, considering we are camping outdoors! We packed up the car on Saturday morning, checked in at 8:49am and they had us on a bus and on the river by 9:30am!!! Seriously the best experience!! They get extremely busy on the weekends and the groups can be huge, be patient and have your groups organized. It will help them and you!! Keep up the good work, Eagle Bluff. We will return.”

“Pros : Service is great! Staff are friendly. The price is fantastic too! Beautiful sunsets. The room and bathroom were clean. The only 2 cons are the lack of the breakfast items - ALL the items were sweet items. No protein (like a meat). I appreciate the hotel putting out a breakfast spread, and I do appreciate that it costs a lot to have a variety of items. But I feel even offering something like a Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich would have been substantial! The other con which was THE WORST thing about the hotel room - the beds are ROCK hard.”

It was clean and had everything we needed to have a relaxing weekend. Communication from Joe and Diana was easy to follow and through in explaining the check-in and check-out processes, as well as expectations for our stay. We would happily stay in one of their properties again.”

“After countless summers spent at Lake Murray tent camping, boating, and watersports, we thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing fall visit staying at Lake Murray Floating Cabins! The cabins were clean and comfortable, and were stocked with all the essentials. Sunrise and sunsets on the deck were amazing, and we had plenty of aquatic and waterfowl visitors that provided entertainment. We were fortunate to have scheduled on a warm November weekend, so we hiked and explored, but also took some time to take in the quiet and calmness of the lake. Only thing missing was a campfire!”

“This is a newer hotel, with a large room and it is nice. The bed was one of the best hotel beds I have slept in. They offer a hot breakfast and easy route back onto the highway. The room was clean and I really enjoy that they do not have carpet in the room. We will stay here again!”
