“We ate at the "restaurant", with its rustic tables and eclectic chairs. The menu is unassuming and gives no clue to the thrilling flavours of the dishes on offer. We thoroughly enjoyed onion soup, sausage and mash and a burger. All of it was very good quality and extremely tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. The surroundings offer something for everyone of intrigue. Vintage vehicles, trains and cider sheds to name a few.”

“Stayed with my dog in a static for 3 nights, cannot fault anything. Immaculate caravan, friendly staff, quiet site, sea front right outside the site, smart cafe, Smugglers pub short walk a way. Internet was poor, that's a bonus in my opinion but good signal in the cafe. Will definitely go again”

“An absolute gem, what makes the hotel special are the staff. Everyone is smiling, very polite and can't do enough to help you. The bed and pillows were super comfy. Room was very nice. If you're in the back you can hear bird's singing and it's so pieceful. Massive parking area with plenty of space to park.”

“The location was very cute and made for a nice drive. we attended for a wedding. The day staff were busy, I couldn't say that it was very roomy at the venue and this was not a big wedding,some were required to overflow to the bar area for space after the service. Wedding breakfast food service was not great, when sat for the meal some guests were completely overlooked for starters, the mains included vegetables that were not cooked and a gravy that had a base that tasted of bitter ale. The setting was lovely but i think weddings are not their forté.”

“Totally blown away with the totally sincere unforced naturally friendly service from all staff. The price was amazing, the room was amazing and the breakfast was superb. The little finishing touches like the tea and coffee selections even in the rooms add that sense of being comfortable and like being at home. Was really calm and quiet and yes the only downside as with any hotel were the usual ignorant other guests that can't seem to close a door quietly! You know who you are! Grrr sort yourselves out 😆 no really apart from that, absolutely stunningly perfect stay and look forward to staying again very soon 😊 THANK YOU”
