“- great size room - amazing staff, very helpful and willing to accommodate - The breakfast bar was on time and always full - amazing location - 3 min walk from the pier and next to a lot of restaurants - eco friendly bathroom items (soaps, shampoo, lotion, etc) - The hotel is only 4 floors so breakfast never felt crowded and the elevator didn't take forever to come - travelled with 1 yr old and pack and play was in room and easy to assemble - they put us in a room with only one neighbor so when our kid kept crying or woke up at 5am we didn't feel too horrible - no sound from neighbors or in the hallway. - good black out curtains - housekeeping willing to do daily trash pick up/all staff very friendly”

“My family has been coming here for many years now. It’s a wonderful location with amazing gulf views from every room. A very nice pool area with a hot tub. Very comfortable chairs and umbrellas. There is a pool attendant to help get you set up. Restaurants and shops are nearby. It’s all very walkable.”

“The place was very well kept and clean, to the point that you can tell the owners care. Rooms are very compact but have what you need if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room. Parking was limited but we found a spot each night so there must be one for each room. Appeared to cater to over 65 which is fine with us. No elevator so reserve early if mobility is an issue.”

What a fantastic person and front desk manager! I can't say enough about how kind...funny...helpful and AMAZING he was! Ty so much for making our stay wonderful! Miss Deb.....she is the best! So positive and such an amazing lady! If u ever get to talk to her....consider yourself blessed! Brandye.....what a goofball and such a beautiful lady! You would be lucky to meet her!!!! “Loved our stay here. We checked in just a few hours after a tornado touched down. They did everything they could to be helpful and professional. The rooms and building was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I want to also give a shout out to the lovely ladies who worked and prepped the breakfast area. You are amazing. “I found out about the beach house suites from the Goop website. My husband and I thought this would be a great way to spread out with our four children while still enjoying the amenities and beauty of the historic Don Cesar. When we pulled into the parking lot we were a bit hesitant because it looks like an old motel from the roadside. The two bedroom suite was spacious and we had a washer/dryer and a full kitchen but we also were sharing one bathroom amongst the six of us. The unit was clean and well furnished but housekeeping only came by once a day usually in the morning before we’d leave to go outside so we would just get extra towels. The beds were comfortable but our unit had a lot of outside noise that would keep you up at night if you aren’t accustomed to that so I’d recommend some type of white noise. Road noise and noises around the complex are very loud inside. There is also a lot of artificial light from the outside walkway that leaks into the bedroom we stayed in and the curtains they use don’t block it out completely. Our children enjoyed the pool and soccer but preferred the pool at the Don Cesar hotel so we walked over there most days. We really didn’t interact much with any staff but it was the week before Christmas. This place is a great fit for large families, I just wish more care and attention had been put into the amenities here as well as taking care of simple things like making sure the curtains in the bedrooms next to the outdoor walkways are blackout curtains that drape and don’t leak. If we visit the Don Cesar hotel again we would just stay at the hotel itself. The main thing is to realize that the Beach House Suites are nothing like the hotel, it’s a half a mile down the beach and staying there would be a significantly different experience.”

“Such a lovely place. The unit (efficiency) was huuuuge! Also super clean and with all the bits and pieces you'd want for a self-catered stay. The service was great - I turned up early for check-in and they turned around my room so quickly so I could get in rather than hanging around. The location was also excellent - right on the beach, close to a big supermarket and restaurants and walkable to St John's Pass.”

“Hotel is nice, the staff is the best. It could use a little extra maintenance the screens need replaced two other potted palms are dead out front. But those are very small issues compared to the fantastic staff Latifah was very welcoming at check in the night staff was a great gentleman. The entire staff treated us like family. Would recommend highly to anyone looking for a nice quiet place to stay with kitchen outdoor grilling area and heated pool.”

“Stayed on the bay side for 4 days and left on Christmas. Rooms are spacious and include everything, dishwasher (with soap) washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, and a great porch. We watched the Boat parade and had a spectacular time. There is a separate hotel across the street with Gulf side views, and a roof top sunset deck which you are free to use.”

“The location was good for the price. The picture are not what it really looks like. Quite a bit older facility than what it shows. Had a funny smell in the room but it seemed to be clean. Couch was extremely uncomfortable and the room was very warm even with the air running. The customer service was excellent and they were extremely attentive. Pool was nice but small. Unfortunately it was too cold to use. They do have washer and dryer but you have to find your own quarters. Went to the local laundromat to get quarters. Floor in the room was super slippery ??? Not sure what they are using to clean the floors with.”

“Unit 1201 is shabby at best. It needs a major refurb.The unit is dilapidated and sorely in need of a DEEP clean. The dropped ceilings in both the kitchen and bathroom are filthy. A/C vents are the same.The shower curtain rod is rusty and the curtain liner had mildew. We cleaned the unit to make it usable for our stay. The bed linens were clean as were the towels. The owner of this unit is not doing GW any favors by renting out this unit. We saw other rooms and they were in MUCH better condition. Walk to the beach is very easy and the pool is nice.”
