“This is our second year in a row staying on a powered site and this year, we found it even better than last. Before we arrived, they had blower cleaned the slab - very nice! Bathrooms were spotless as was everything else, including the laundry. The dog park is wonderful and a place we could throw the ball for our boy. The location is excellent and reception/check in process was seamless. Even though it was the height of school holidays, it was peaceful, quiet and a lovely environment. Highly recommend.”

“This is the second time staying here, both in our caravan. They have added a lot more since our last stay, including cabins and a pool, which is great. Toilets and showers are kept to a decent standard of cleanliness. Staff are always pleasant good to deal with. The park is located beside a more open surf beach on one side and the nice calm waters of jimmys Beach in the bay on the other, the beach access is a bit of a hike but not difficult. The only criticism is the number of large trees. They are continually dropping small sticks and leaves on parked vans and vehicles. This park is well worth a look.”

“This was the second Christmas we have spent here and we will definitely be booking in for a third. The staff are helpful and very welcoming. All the facilities and amenities are kept clean. Love the new addition of the kids playground and the pump track is awesome. It’s very relaxing to sit on one of the many sun lounges by the pool and waterpark. This year we were in a cabin which was clean, had comfy beds and all the bits and pieces in a kitchen that you would need. We had a huge balcony to sit and enjoy the amazing view of the lake. Love the kids activities that the holiday park put on. Our fave this year was the kids fishing competition which our daughter won this year thank you for the new fishing rod and the stubbie holders 😊 There’s an on-site cafe which has great views of the water and serves up amazing coffee and food. Thank you discovery parks Darawank for making our holiday an enjoyable one 😊”

“We stayed in the Rose Cottage over New Years and had the most relaxed and comfortable stay. The cottage is modern and situated up a private drive on the hill away from other cabins. Dog friendly accommodation and great walking tracks. Would recommend packing lawn games, a good book and indoor games/cards. If you’re wanting to switch off from the grid it’s a great place to stay!”

“We have been staying at Mobys for the past 13 years since our 3 kids were babies now they are all teenagers and still love coming here. The location is one of the best spots in Australia directly opposite Boomerang beach. The villas are always clean, modern and comfortable. The facilities are great having the pool, spa & tennis court. Really safe for the kids to ride their scooters and bikes around the park. The full kitchen is great for cooking and keeping the family well fed without having to go out for meals. Highly recommended mobys to anyone wanting a laid back, relaxing weekend or week away and always great to come with friends who can rent cabins next to each other. Dan & team always make us feel welcome and do a great job running the resort.”

“I was told I couldn't have the site I wanted because the toilet block was closed and the council regulations had to be within so far from campsites. Why not just open the toilet block. Was will open it for school holidays. What was the big deal. I always thought look after the customer. Also every time we go there there is noise. Last time demolition was being performed and we had a big jack hammer all day going for our 2 day stay and this time was told after we set up camp and paid road works were being performed at the entrance round about for two nights. So we had no sleep for two nights. Why weren't we told on check in and offered a reduction in price. No they waited till 5pm by text to inform us. I have been going there for years but now every time you go there now there is a new rule change or there is noise all day or all night. I am seriously considering switching parks I Forster”

“This pub hasn’t changed at all from many years ago when I first stopped here on my way north. It’s nothing flash but there’s a great view out the back in the beer garden. The meals we had today for lunch were pretty good too. My partner had the rump steak which he said was very good. I had an entree sized salt and pepper squid and I have to say it’s the nicest S&P squid I’ve ever had. I wasn’t too hungry that’s why I ordered entree size and it was plentiful, they’re definitely not stingy on portions. The young woman serving was pleasant. I only gave 3 stars just because after all these years you’d think the owners would do it up a little. At least do the dining area up a bit, that would be nice. Other than that, good meals and always a pleasure to stop by on my travels.”
