“Liked · I absolutely loved everything about this hostel! It defies the typical hostel appearance; it felt more like a hotel. I booked a bed in a 6-bed room, but to my surprise, they gave me a bed in a 4-bed room, adding a touch of extra comfort. The bathroom was not only nice but also impeccably clean. The hostel's location, just a 15-minute walk from the station, was convenient, and the spacious lobby added to the overall positive impression. A standout experience that exceeded my expectations! “This hotel never warrants a 4star rating. It has no facilities at all, no restaurant just a breakfast room. It claims to be near the entrance to the archeological site but that is over a mile away as is the centre of Pompeii. The rooms are tiny and sparsely equipped. The fantastic breakfast it claims to provide is very basic - we had much better in a 3 star hotel the week before. One morning we went a bit later and the availability was even less, and another morning the yogurts on display were all out of date. To his credit the owner spotted this, late on, and removed them. From then on there were no yoghurts. The staff were pleasant and helpful. When we complained about how slippery the shower was, the owner quickly went and purchased a mat, he also gave us a lift into Pompeii on one occasion.”

“Initially we were a little bit disappointed in how the rooms were very different from the jet2 photos. The rooms were pleasant, but the shower is either in need of a clean or an upgrade as the water comes out so slowly. Having said that, the staff were WONDERFUL. Always willing to go the extra mile to help you and make sure you feel at ease. Feel perhaps this is more of hotel to relax in, rather be than a hotel with a lively atmosphere. Sant ágata is a lovely little village, all the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming! I’d definitely recommend going and having a drink in bar Orlando, real authentic Italian bar. The hotel is a 30 minute bus ride to Sorrento ( the views from the bus are breathtaking) and Sorrento is a stunning place with lovely little market shops, amazing pizza and pasta😂 and not badly priced. Overall we had a wonderful holiday, mainly thanks to the kind and lovely hotel staff. If you’re planning a relaxing trip to Italy, don’t give hotel sant ágata a miss!”

“The hotel was very clean upon arrival and I am a major germaphobe. I did not see the pool as we just slept here. The best part was our room and bathroom were very large. The rooms are simple with tile floors and antique furniture. We brought a white noise machine, so I didn't here any outdoor noise. The only bad part about this hotel was the mattress... it was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I woke up with a terrible backache to start my vacation. Comfort and cleanliness are key for hotels! That's why I subtracted 2 stars. Other than that, the hotel did it's job- provided us a hotel to sleep after our late flight.”

“A few things. This property boasts a fantastic location overlooking the sea (if you are fortunate enough to get a room that has the view). It has convenient gated parking adjacent to the hotel which - if you are staying long term - can certainly support the ease of packing and unpacking from your car. It's central location gives you quick access by foot to the old city and to the walkable path along the sea. Located fairly close to a few supermarkets and restaurants. So, from a location standpoint it hits the mark. The edifice itself: I score this as a "below par" experience. The first impression I got when entering the building that it was dirty and weathered. The rooms, while very quaint and with a lot of potential, just are in need of overhaul and maintenance. Everything from the electric sockets, to in-house hairdryer, to two twin-size beds combined to make one queen sized bed are just out of order for a building which could really be the top of the line if maintained properly. The walls are just all scuffed up with "war battles" from the many guests past, and it makes it a complete eyesore. The room furniture is dirty and weathered. Not maintained. It took me over 30 mins to enter my room because the door lock was not working properly, a clear sign that it needed to be replaced. Hot water: excellent Air conditioning: excellent Linens - excellent (cotton) But the rest is just a bit too roadway "motel-ish" to be considered for the price they charge. The silver lining is the STAFF. Despite the conditions of the physical property, the staff does everything you try to help. A true saving grace which helped tilt the rating from a 1 to a 3 overall. If they had a negative attitude, the rating of this place would most likely be in the negative. All depends on what you want and how you are going to use the room, but to me, a lot of improvement is needed to bring this place to acceptable levels.”

“Well, what to say a part from 5 stars happiness? The hotel is very essential but: rooms are sparklingly clean; a home from home atmosphere; tasty and delicious food from their kitchen every day; thermal pool with thermal water pouring out directly from the rocks open till late in the night; enchanting panoramic view from apartments and the pool keeps and holds and catches your eyes till the sunset and well.. after dinner as well!!! The staff is absolutely amazing, genuinely passionate about hospitality, people, tourism and going to great lengths to make you feel welcome and at the maximum of ease. Plus, they have plenty of hips and tips to explore the magical island. Bring your sneakers, because they know very secret paradise - shores reachable only if you are adventurous-minded. I go back down there every year. There is no summer if I do not. It is priceless. I could not recommend it more if you want both to wind up and have fun in equal parts. OK, I am looking forward to going back down there and also seeing what kind of new stuff have been put on: knowing how the owners are, I know that there is so much going on! See you soon!”

The room was clean, comfortable, and had a great little patio with a view. I really liked the breakfast, a nice combo of sweet and savory options and coffee service. We also found the price extremely reasonable compared to other options in Capri. We’d love to go back!”
