“Due to some flight delays, I didn't arrive to this hotel until almost midnight. When I arrived, I expected a 24/7 reception. Despite having sent an email informing of my late arrival, there was no one at reception. I called the posted after hours number a few times with no answer. Couldn't find any info about a late check in. Eventually called the after hours number again, got an employee who came out to the lobby to assist. He told me I hadn't paid yet (which was true - I booked a pay on arrival room). He told me he couldn't use the card machine so I had to either bank transfer him or pay cash - this seemed quite odd, but he told me I couldn't get my room unless I did this. Luckily another employee happened to be walking by (off duty), and eventually sorted it out for me - saying I could pay in the morning. It turns out the initial gentleman was just an emergency maintenance employee. Overall, the issue got resolved, but it was quite concerning that I wouldn't have a room, and should have been publicised that check in closes at a certain time. The rooms themselves were average, but didn't seem the cleanest. Bathrooms were a little dirty and sheets didn't seem to be properly washed. Overall it was manageable for 1 night, but I would probably not stay here again.”

“We stayed at La Magdeleine for three nights at the end of April and had a wonderful time! We were there as a family and our children loved the park, the pool & and the various games that were at our disposal (boules, darts, balls..). It was warm enough to enjoy breakfast everyday outside - which was a real delight! The location is ideal to discover the area. The room was really nice and spacious with a great attention to detail. We hope to return and also get the chance to try the restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience!”

They also gave us the best recommendations on what to do and where to go including visiting the nearby village Le Castellet which was a hidden gem. “Considering the price for an off-season stay, I would have expected a bit more. Specially the bathroom seemed quite small, I'd say the shower can't really fit "bigger" people. Also, it didn't seem that clean or maybe it's just like that from all the previous use. The bed and balcony were okay. The staff was nice and the location of the hotel is really central, nice restaurants are within walking distance, same for nearby parking. We enjoyed the spa area which was included in the price. Overall, I can recommend this hotel if you manage to get a good price. During season peak perhaps other options get you more for your money.”
