“We really enjoyed our stay at the Wellem. Overall the rooms were clean, the cleaning and hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The built in closets were great for quick organizing and the kitchen had everything you'd need. The room coffee system was fantastic and was refilled daily :D. Walking distance to the Christmas market, museums, and local restaurants. The only issue we had was with the quick grab pantry being closed, there was no way to get a quick snack if you needed something outside of the kitchen hours, which were limited. They do have restaurants, but there were not all "in" the building and lacked kid friendly foods. I also needed to use the business center that did not exist. The hotel did have a standing desk area with a computer (only), and could print if needed. Not a deal breaker, but helpful to know if you need to work while there. If in the area, I will stay here again based on the location of the hotel and the accommodating staff. We had a standard room on the top floor, very large despite being told it was just standard size, perfectly equipped, pleasant bed and linen, well heated and comfortable. Just maybe too many curtains even on regular walls…. Most courteous staff ! Excellent live jazz night in lobby bar.”

“We booked a room months in advance only to be notified three days before the scheduled arrival that the hotel would close down on the day of our arrival due to there not being enough guests and that therefore our reservation would be cancelled. The hotel did not offer any help in finding alternative accommodation or to make up the difference in price for any other hotel we would have to book upon very short notice. Worst customer service I have ever seen. Avoid at all cost!”

“I never seen such a racist behaviour in any hotel anywhere I have visited. The management seems to be mentally unstable and called me for cheap items ( electric kettle ) missing. They could at-least checked I did my check out but they called after 3 hours to tell me that in very rude manner over the phone. It is very obnoxious hotel and behaviour from The hotel. I will sue them for racism.! So That this does not happen in the future ! They made a racist comment when we said we are from London and that we are not part of the EU. Pleas beware of this fishy hotel.”

“The temperature in the room is 16 degrees Celsius, while outside -5. You go back to your room and you're freezing. Heating - only air conditioning, which works by card, which you must take when leaving the room for the whole day. The hot vegetables for breakfast seemed to be mixed some part fresh and some part beeing few days old. I eat 4 breakfasts here. French "pain au chocolat" was dry inside and stale. You can bake such a roll in smaller quantities every day...”

“This hotel advertises air conditioning, but they are deceitful as the hotel has zero air conditioning or air circulation. I was advised to open a large window, but it was warm outside and the window did not have a screen so we had bugs in our room. I emailed the area manager F Michels twice, but he failed to even reply with a resolution. Disappointing!”
