The facilities and park are clean and tidy and dogs are welcome on site. It's a short walk across some dunes to get to the beach so they can have a good run around. It's also walkable into town where there are eateries and shops.”

“I run out of superlatives to describe how perfect our stay was at The Torridon. My fiancé and I celebrated our engagement at The Torridon and the staff could not have done more for us. From my initial contact over the phone with Lorna, to the incredibly thorough and warm check-in from Hazel; we were treated like royalty. We were lucky enough to stay in room 3, which was by far the most beautiful hotel room either of us had ever stayed in - the views over the loch with Highland cattle grazing right outside was the perfect Scottish snapshot. We also ate in the 1887 restaurant and had exquisite food and wine followed by a whisky (or 2) in the signature whisky bar. Breakfast was 12/10, with a generous menu of indulgent options. We asked to tweak one of the ingredients on our breakfast order and our waiter replied "anything is possible at The Torridon" and that sums up our stay perfectly. Thank you to all members of staff who made our first 48 hours of engagement so very special.”

“Quiet hostel with people of all ages. I ended up staying for 3 nights, the kitchen was awesome and I loved the common areas they had. Staff was super welcoming, but the vibe of the hostel isn’t really to meet people. I had a great time though, it was the perfect place to relax and take it slow after being in loud, party hostels in cities. Cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in as well. Location was great, near a school and in a nice neighborhood. Only a short walk to the city center, river Ness, and the bus/train station.”

There was also a nice place to sit and chat with other guests. We met some very interesting folks there, seems to be a great spot to wander the highland walking trails. Breakfast was good, owners were lovely. Would definitely stay again”

There's a pool table and dart board in the bar plus a selection of board games. Serving local beers and delicious local produce. Cosy when the fire is roaring and great views too.”
