“DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. GeoArm is dishonest and refuses to support its products. They have a negative reputation amongst other alarm monitoring companies. In mid-November, I contacted GeoArm because a door sensor had died. Since the sensor was only two months out of warranty, they were unwilling to support their product unless the manufacturer (DSC) confirmed the sensor was defective and replaced their stock. So I had to open a troubleshooting ticket with my monitoring company and DSC who confirmed that the appropriate solution was to replace the sensor. GeoArm still wouldn’t replace the defective sensor, but proposed that I purchase a new replacement sensor and return the defective unit to them for testing. GeoArm agreed to refund my costs if DSC tested the part and confirmed that the sensor was indeed defective. So I purchased the new sensor on 11/14/23 for $59.99, returned the defective part, and paid return shipping. But then, even though DSC confirmed the defect and replaced their stock on 11/29, GeoArm only issued a partial refund of $26.05 on 12/12. GeoArm claims they only owe the price I paid for the original part ($26.05) on 9/19/22, not my cost to replace the defective part ($59.99) on 11/21/23. [Added 12/25/23] GeoArm's wordy response is just Smoke & Mirrors to distract from the fact that they did not refund the price I paid for the replacement part.”
