“The total experience was great. Spent 4 days there with our children and grandchildren. It was a brilliant experience. I want to go back but without the grandchildren 😀. The staff were great and genuinely friendly and welcoming. The environment was perfect and not a dull moment. The farm was an absolute amazing time for the children they went 3 times during our stay. Ok so a couple of moans. No washing machine in house. The air cooling was almost non existing. The lowest we could get the temperature down to was 24c. At night it went up to 25-26c. Not too comfortable when temps outside reached 29-31c. Would recommend and certainly go back again. Thank you all the staff and a special thanks to Robert vd Vliet for his taking the time to care for our older grandson. Ted”

The owner was extremely friendly and kind, she prepared flowers and cava at my request for our first wedding anniversary. We also ate dinner and breakfast there, and it was beyond delicious! “We stayed at the Hotel Paal 8, on the north coast of Terschelling, and loved our stay. I'm attaching a picture I took from our balcony, overlooking the North Sea. The beach is a very short walk away, and the whole area is gorgeous. We had one of the two-bedroom apartments, so we had a balcony on two sides of the hotel -- one facing the sea, and the other facing the inland dunes, both simply entrancing. The restaurant is also fabulous -- we ordered dinner from them every night (and ate it in our dining room).”

“Coming to this hotel was very exciting. Even though it looked out dated it looked amazing online. Walking in the entire lobby looked so cool and up to date. We get to our room and it's old and extremely outdated. Rug is worn all over and stained. There is no extra lock on the door entering my room. There is no ironing board or iron. The TV doesn't actually work. The couch is so small and uncomfortable. For the amount you spend it should be updated and nice like the lobby.”

“Lovely location, the rooms were neat and clean (although the mattresses could've been better). For the most part the staff was friendly and helpful, except for one waiter (who said he was originally from another hotel) who was extremely unprofessional. My boyfriend and I had been waiting to be served at the bar for around half an hour, which in its own wasn't that big of a deal. But when asked by a coworker if he could prepare two cocktails, his response was "Oh ALSJEBLIEFT zeg. Laat ze maar wachten, ik heb nu even geen tijd" (written in Dutch to prevent potential mistranslation). They were understaffed, I get that. But he could have told us that and that they were unable to serve us right now. But shouting something like that loud and clear while practically standing next to us is bizarre and extremely unprofessional. The rest of the staff was nice and I appreciated that they let us check in late at night since we misremembered the date.”

“Just across from the train station, a 5-10 minute walk from the theatre and cinema and several bars and eating establishments. Staffing appears to be an issue currently but the staff that was available was friendly. Excellent breakfast. Clean room. For the price of (my specific) room a bathrobe would have been nice to have available. Note, the safe in the room does not fit a 15.6" laptop, it will fit 13.3" and likely 14"”
