“Visited Hosteria Moderna by way of a recommendation. We were not disappointed. A warm and friendly greeting at the door, and a choice of tables, we arrive at 19:30, so were a little taken aback because we were the only diners, no one wants to eat in an empty restaurant right? However, we ordered from the menu and our excellent food came quickly, and with another smile. Excellent quality, and great portions. The beer selection is comprehensive, and well tended, We had a couple of pints of Guiness, can't say its the best in Verona, but it is the best we have drunk in Verona so far! But a really excellent pint, or four.... The decor is pleasant and has a motoring/road/motorcycle theme, and as we ate the place filled up, predominantly with locals, which is always a good sign, so our fears were soon dispersed about our solo dining. All in all a great dining experience, and one we will return to, and try the wonderful looking steaks.”

The only things that I could complain a bit, it is the physical reception not available 24h and no food or drink machine in the premises, but, sincerely, I didn't have problems for them”

“Excellent hotel, clean and comfortable. I travelled October 2023 with friends, we stayed in a triple room which was a good size, had pleasant decor, and a good en-suite shower room. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and staff were helpful throughout the hotel. The hotel is within ten minutes walk from the main Termini rail, metro and bus station. The nearest metro station is Castro Pretorio, which is within 5 minutes walk. My friends and I were very happy with this hotel and would stay there again.”

Staff is nice and helpful, breakfast is very good, but the best part is probably the 60s-styled elevator. We absolutely loved it. Overall, we had a very good stay!”

“Very nice but I can only rate 3 stars because of the overuse of air fresheners. Every time I went in the room the smell was overwhelming and some of the bathrooms even had two! It is not healthy to breathe in the chemicals and they were not even necessary because the place was well ventilated and clean. I would strongly recommend removing all of the air fresheners and fragrances. They make the place smell worse than without them.”

“Hotel was in a building where elevator didn’t consistently work so carry your bags several flights. No concierge service which means any time you have trouble or need help there’s nobody to do so. In those events you have to email or text a lady you responds whenever she wants to. Especially slow on weekends. Also the breakfast left in the rooms was half stale. The “barriers” on the balcony which I paid a lot of money for those upgrades would constantly get blown over and fall on you. They are super heavy or they would fall on our items which our bottles of wine were shattered the first night there. Don’t know why they don’t bolt them down it’s negligent. The a/c is so loud allowing for little sleep. Toilet doesn’t flush correctly. Lastly the lady promised she would set us transportation back to the airport at 4:30am. The transportation never showed up!!! Making us miss our flight. Of course when I brought this up she blamed it on the transportation company. When the whole trip from booking until the end she was hard to reach. Until the taxi situation she never communicated with us. Ignored all other complaints and never responded. Terrible experience on our honeymoon. I paid a lot of money for that room and for nothing.”

“Firstly - location is perfect. It's much better to stay next to the train station, than in the middle of old Venice. After the sunset it gets dark, empty and a lil scary) but in that area one could find some food, booze and some life almost 24/7. About sound - i was sleeping well, nothing did bother me. Reception was nice and friendly. Rooms - yes, look tired... definitely some renovation is needed, but have to say bathroom was clean, that's what important for me. Walls...well, whomever comes to Venice to look at the hotel walls - my condolences. Price and location is nice, so I'd say for a short stay, if you come to your room just to sleep, hotel is good”

“Stayed here for a week in late Nov, early Dec. Overall it's a great hotel and I'd strongly recommend. The staff really go out of their way to be warm and welcoming. My wife largely uses a wheelchair so they were very accommodating and the hotel was easy for her to get around in, as was our room. The only downside was getting to breakfast which involves climbing stairs. But it's definitely worth it. Good breakfast, good service and outstanding views. The hotel is located in a great place, close to many sites, so it's very easy to walk to most of them. Would definitely stay here again!”

“The hostel is also a hotel, the bottom part is the hostel. The facility is clean and there are bed sheets provided with a pillow. They are changed every day. You have access to the garden to go sit and relax. There are no breakfasts provided only a hot beverage. Great service from the morning man. The hostel is opened 24/7, there is always someone there at the reception, so you can arrive at any time! The hostel is located 20 min walk from the Colosseum and 1h walk from the Vatican. I felt safe as a first time solo travelling female.”

“It's a student campus, which had free rooms during the summer months. We rented a room & had a whole studio for ourselves. Where was a little kitchenette + essentials, fridge and microwave. The room was cleaned every day: making the bed, new towels and soaps, throwing out the trash. There were a lot of facilities like laundry room, paddel/tennis court, ... There's a Coop (supermarket) at 100meters and a lot of public parking places where you could park for free. Would definately go again!!!”
