“The hostel is really nice. The room we had was spacious. The ac was really good. The cafe downstairs does really good food, we went there for breakfast and dinner. There are loads of other restaurants all along the street so there's plenty of nearby options. The location is very good, near the central market! I'd recommend staying here.”

“I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic property that offers both dorms and private rooms, and let me tell you, it met all of my expectations. First off, the location is fantastic. Situated in the heart of the city Bukit Bintang, it's close to all the major attractions and public transportation, making it extremely convenient for exploring everything the city has to offer. Whether you're into sightseeing or just want to immerse yourself in the local culture or you want to meet fellow international travellers, this property is the perfect base for your adventures. The dorms are comfortable and budget friendly. Each bed is equipped with its own power outlet, and reading light, allowing for a peaceful and restful night's sleep. The shared bathrooms are kept clean. If privacy is more your style, the private rooms are a great option. They offer a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. Moreover this property also have a common area which ha got beautiful park view. One of the highlights of my stay was the helpful and friendly staff. From the moment I arrived, they went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, my stay at this property was very good. The combination of comfortable accommodations, prime location, and a friendly, vibrant atmosphere makes it a top choice for anyone looking for an unforgettable and enriching travel experience. Whether you're a solo traveler, a group of friends, this property compatible to all. I will definitely be returning on my next visit and recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay that is in city centre and budget friendly.”

“I had an excellent stay at this hostel! The cleanliness was impressive, and the staff, particularly the manager Rose, went above and beyond in their helpfulness. The great location adds to its appeal. I highly recommend this place for families, couples, and solo travelers. Fantastic value for money—truly an amazing experience!”

142, Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Brickfields, 50470 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

“Terrible. Dirty and dust in the room, bedsheets dirty with hairs and no clear stains. No power points to charge the phone... We asked for a change room, but they said that all rooms are full. We asked to change pillows and bedsheets, but only a pillow changed.... Only the position is great, near the metro and Klia express. We booked 2 nights but the second day we left and asked for refunding the second night and obviously they didn't accept. A suggestion, avoid it.”

Bstreet Hotel

263, Lebuh Pantai, George Town, 10300 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

“Look- you get what you pay for. Small windowless room (which can give you a weird sense of time) but has everything you need. I found the pillows to be uncomfortable and was a bit grossed out by the dirty shower curtain. I also had problems getting the shower water beyond luke warm. It has a great location and I did not spend most of my 2 night trip in my room so it worked out for what I needed.”

“Great place to stay with family! Room was spacious, clean, and tidy. Booked room with street view and I love it especially during night time. Located at a strategic location for shopaholics. Shower room was quite good and clean as well. The room has been provided with iron and ironing board. Overall, enjoyed staying here even though me and my family only stayed here for one night.”

“DON‘T STAY HERE! It‘s a ghost hotel without any guests, mobile connection or wifi. The rooms were dirty and moldy. The bar ist not open and the only shop closes really early. We left after one night and lost 300€ to do so… Baddest hotel experience I‘ve ever had.”

15 Jalan Barat, To Kuala Lumpur / Petaling Jaya, Pjs 8, 46050 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

“This is where i stayed when I landed in Malaysia. It was a good experience and a good start. Near KFC and Starbucks, and several other eateries. Banks nearby and ATM is in 7/11 at 1 min walk. Only bummer was that the rooms said if we stay more than 3 days we can have laundry. Which was no more available during the time i stayed (Sept 2023). Otherwise, friendly staff. WiFi didn’t work for me and I didn’t check with the staff either as i used my network 5G because it was faster.”

B-Tower, Bayan Point, 19, Medan Kampung Relau, Kampung Seberang Paya, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia

“Very large rooms and good quality for the price, however, I would not recommend it to anyone who speaks only English. Normal problems such as a plugged drain, etc. are difficult to explain to the front desk since the English speakers apparently work only in the daytime. That said, the atmosphere of actually staying with Malaysians may be worth the inevitable, but probably small, discomforts.”

“Also, if you check out make sure the short indian man owner is there or you won't get your deposit back. He was unhappy when I demand cash. A dishonest service provider and Agoda platform blocked my review to promote this type of behaviour and cheat more foreign visitors while treating local sarawakians like fools.”

The Elopura Hotel

Open until 12:00 PM

HS12, Sandakan Harbour Square, 90000 Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia

“A lovely hotel in the middle of Sandakan. The hotel bed is free of bedbugs (we always check) and the room is super clean. The A/C is good too. The breakfast is quite nice and varied too. We ended up staying here on two occasions. One was in the standard room and another was in the Shah Rukh Khan suite, which was basically the size of two rooms and was super clean. The staff were incredibly nice to us and were super accommodating. I'd also like to give props to the team for having the right signage in their elevators too, for example, when they were doing refurbishments. Some hotels don't even bother to do this and it's a nice touch. While the location is convenient, there are some issues with sewage smells nearby and you can clearly see that some people have some mental health issues in the square if you stay there long enough. It's quite uncomfortable and worth factoring in. If you're there quickly, it's fine. Lovely to stay a few days, not much longer.”

Bestow Capsule Hostel

107, Changkat Thambi Dollah, Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

“Very nice place to stay in.. cheap and the location is great. The staff are so friendly, helpful and welcoming. I stayed there for five nights. You can find all that you need just a couple of minutes away from the hostel. The capsule itself is good.. the mattress was cozy and inside the capsule there were some equipment like lights, blue soft light, aircon, mirror, socket and digital clock. Unfortunately even there was a locker but I couldn't use it. The shower area was clean all the time and there is a terrace on the rooftop where you can see the Petronas twin towers. I could do my laundry and I felt like being at home. There is a smoking area. All in all, if you are looking for a cheap yet acceptable and clean hostel then you are in the right place. Greetings from Morocco to Boy the receptionist and the kind chamber maids... I will be back someday .”

Hotel Seri Geliga

Jalan Geliga Besar, Kampung Geliga Besar, 24000 Chukai, Terengganu, Malaysia

“I had a terrible time staying at this hotel. Inconsiderate and unbearable receptionist regarding the guest capacity to stay, which this hotel requires an extra payment for an extra one person until the management allowed three of us to stay after repeated begging. It's a pity. Aside from that, the room service was terrible. The bed sheets did not appear to be clean, and the toilet was filthy and dusty. During check-out, another issue from the lady receptionist. She was prejudiced to myself and my mother when she hold my deposit until she finish inspecting the room. Staying in the hotel was the most humiliating experience of my life. In the future, I will never stay at this hotel again, and it is not recommended for a leisure stay.”

“The room is too small and too expensive. The AC is costing me more than the electricity & water bills together. And the management office is not friendly and they will kick us out saying they are having financial problems and at the same time they Renovate buildings”
