“This is probably the least welcoming and disappointing field station I have ever seen. If you are planning to access anything there MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE you book all of the services on the website, or otherwise DO NOT COUNT ON GETTING ANY HELP at all. I asked for wi-fi access to check the weather - and the attendant would not give it to me, just showed something on his phone (which was, of course, utterly useless). We passed the station twice, on one day they were selling some basic supplies outside, but two days later the there was nothing out, and the attendant said "we are not a shop" (I had almost forgotten how some people in Sweden take enjoyment in being rude if they think they are right). All in all, the station gives the mean-spirited hiking vibe that we have all seen before. It probably would have been better if it did not exist at all, because then one would plan differently and not count on getting any help there.”

“Stayed here for a whole week, which sounds a lot, I was here for a competition and to enjoy the nature and the tranquility the town that could offer. The hostel has a great sauna and shower for guests to use, which was a wow factor for me as a first time Sweden traveller. The rest of the hostel was really clean and calm, even though it is requested that the hostel guests had to do the cleaning on their own. The staff were all very friendly, gave some tips on the walking tours and spots. The location was not hard to be found at all, and there were loads of resto, groceries and parks. It was one of the most pleasant stay and travel experience so far!”

“The location is perfect, downtown, lots of good restaurants and cafes near by. The rooms are very small, but clean, the cleaning service is very good if you ask for it. Rooms don’t have a bathroom or any sort of water (not even a sink) and it is at some extent inconvenient. Some of the shower cabins are pretty dated and has an unpleasant odor. But water is running and they do a good job keeping them clean. Also there is no cafe or restaurant in this hotel, no breakfast (they do provide something like tea and cookies and maybe you can buy some yogurt) no dinner. It is our third stay here because we love the location of the old town.”

“What a lovely little oasis on a tiny yet central island. Great events and really quite decent free breakfast. I had a small private room with a sky light. For the price, the room was more than enough. Bathrooms were clean. The inside of the building itself is well decorated but nearly without any natural light which I didn’t like but I can’t complain..just outside the building you’re greeted with natural beauty and peaceful nature so it balances out. Great hospitality at the restaurant and great live music at the venue!”
