“I was there for a couple of days. We had the entire place to ourselves, which provided ample space. The location is ideal for team-building and family gatherings. The staff were incredibly friendly. However, the connections in the rooms need updating, as there were broken ports everywhere, both power and USB. There seems to be an issue with the neighborhood, resulting in everything shutting down at 23:30. Guests are not allowed to stay outside past this time, and even chatting with friends outside one's room is prohibited. One either has to go to sleep or leave the premises to continue the conversation. We had to do this every night. Fortunately, the security guard was understanding. The food was decent; neither exceptional nor poor. Overall, while I was initially excited upon arrival, I left with a bittersweet feeling. Kudos to the staff for making the best of it!”

“Best hostel we’ve stayed at so far! We stayed in a shared dorm, the beds were very clean, with blinds so that you had full privacy when you were in your bed. The room was clean and had blackout blinds and a private changing area. I loved the privacy that the rooms provided. There were also large cupboards that locked to keep your belongings, they were large enough for us to keep our entire suitcase. There was a shared bathroom out in the hall which was cleaned everyday. They also had a really cool kitchen and hangout area with cushions. The kitchen amenities were minimal which is to be expected from a hostel. There was a fridge, microwave and plates and cutlery though. Which was more than enough for us. The staff were super lovely and helpful. I would 100% recommend this to anyone going to Paris. 😊”

“The camp site has well marked out pitches for tents and motor homes. Camping in the tent was a breeze as the pitches were spacious, had plenty of tree cover for shade and were really flat. There are two sanitary blocks which are regularly cleaned and comfortable. Although the walk to Annecy old town is 15 mins downhill the walk back uphill can be a bit of a hike after a full day out. However, in Annecy in July and August almost all buses are free and there are a couple of routes that stop right outside the campsite. There is a TV room with sofas, a pool table and table football for when the weather is a bit rough and you’re bored of the tent! I thought it was great value too. We paid around €18 per night for two people and a 2 man tent. There is a small play area for children and a small mini golf area too. You can order bread and pastries from the campsite and collect each morning too. Booking was easy and all staff were friendly and welcoming. It was actually a really nice place to relax in the evening after a day in town or hiking in the nearby mountains. Well worth the money. Great value.”

“The private double room we stayed in was very good value, spacious and had the added benefit of a (shared) balcony. The hostel looks somewhat run-down from the exterior but is clean albeit basic inside. The bathroom in the room is extremely small. A towel service would be an improvement. Use of the Yélo bikes is the handiest way into town with a bus stop nearby for longer journeys / travelling to the train station with luggage. Any interactions with staff were efficient and pleasant.”

“Very nice and relaxed camping, where you can also arrive after office hours and register the following morning. Girl at reception spoke English very well. Great new shower and toilet facility. Not too crowded in late June. Tent area in the back was less appealing but we could also put our tent in the front area where there is sufficient shade. Minor points: the cottages for rent are partly occupied with men who are there for work (which is the same on many campings) but that did not disturb us. The direct surroundings of the camping are not so picturesque, with some noise from the road.”

“I mean, I'm not sure if I was incredibly lucky, but for my 4 nights I stayed in this hostel (in a 4-bed dorm room), I had the room entirely to myself every night! This might not be desirable for someone seeking company on their solo travels, but I was finishing up a long trip, and was glad for the peace and quiet. I will say, the price was quite steep for my early-September visit, so maybe people were put off by the price, but either way it meant I was getting a great rate on what was essentially a private room. In fact, I saw very few people at this hostel overall, it truly was a quiet place. Staff were pretty helpful, bathrooms were kept clean (at least the bathroom in my 4-person dorm room was clean), and they have a wonderfully cute cat at this hostel who will hang out with you as long as you want! Also, the free breakfast was a nice bonus. My only issue with service was that I spoke entirely in French to the receptionist, but he noticed my accent and switched to English and would not switch back. If your goal is to explore Montmartre, then this is definitely one of the best places to stay, as the location is super central to the neighborhood. Just for whatever reason, it seemed quite empty during my 4 night stay.”

We were attending a concert at the Zenith stadium, and the hotel was a perfect location to stay and walk back at night. The area was also friendly and had a lot of good food options surrounding it. “I had a pleasure to visit this place in August 2023 while attempting to make it to the top of Mont Blanc. Great staff that is very helpful. Good food and cleanliness was much better than in other places on route . Met lovely people going up and down. This was a great experience. All equipment is kept downstairs and no backpacks are allowed in restaurant area. Sleeping area is great , but couldn't really sleep due to height acclimatization.”

“The bathrooms here are horrible! Just utterly disgusting, you can see the hair filling the uncovered drain-hole in the shower and the mold growing around it. So that really brought down the experience for me. Otherwise, the rooms are spacious and have the modern privacy curtains expected in "The People" hostels as well as a sink in the room. They have a nice patio area connected to the bar, but they shut it down relatively early and force everyone to move inside. Additionally, the receptionist was looking for a couple of my dorm mates all day, and every time I walked by he would ask me if I had seen them (this happened like 5 times), even though I did not know them and it's not my responsibility to find them for him. It was just kind of weird... The location is pretty good, but wow those bathrooms were gross. I don't recommend this place, and it was definitely the worst of my "The People" stays I had.”

“I cannot praise enough the wonderful service provided by Gwendolen at the reception. She could not have been more helpful with my request to leave my bag and change clothes after a long flight so I could attend a funeral service in the neighborhood (I arrived from the airport too early to check-in for my room). Throughout my stay Gwendolen was warm, friendly, and attentive—a consummate professional. The hotel couldn’t be better located as it is steps from the St Paul metro in the Marais, so it is super easy to take the RER train from CDG airport. The continental bkfst was a welcome touch. The room I had was small, but it was clean and had everything I needed, including beautiful doors that opened to a balcony. The elevator is built for one person with a medium size suitcase. This is a charming boutique hotel with fantastic service. If you are looking for luxury accommodations it is probably not for you, but good luck finding such accommodations anywhere near the Marais without paying 700 EUR a night. I will def stay at Hotel Emile again.”

“Only stayed for one night, but loved this little hostel. Everyone was very friendly and coming together felt really natural because the place is well set-up for that. My bed had an outlet and a good amount of storage, and there are lockers in the rooms (bring your lock). Bathrooms were fine, never waited and the shower was attached to the room. :)”
