It has a great location, the lake is right in front of the building, you can contamplate a wonderful view every breakfast and dinner; the food was just great, a good variaty for both breakfast and dinner, so whether you are vegetarian or not, you won't stay hungry. There is great variaty of sport activities- you can rent a bike or a surf for stand up paddling right at the hostel- so this is quite convinient. Moreover the staff at the hostel is extremely friendly and helpful, big thank you to the Tomi especially. Bath and toilets are always clean. So i would really recommend this place to anyone who want enjoy nature and Walchensee. Maria”

“First of all, thanks to the hotel desk crew. They welcomed us nicely and politely and helped us with the information to visit the city and some other issues with transportation. It is located near downtown, the railway station and the bus station; and it allows to reach the city center just walking. Only the rooms unbalance the very good level of the whole. They are a little bit old fashioned but in very good condition. A bottle of water as a welcome present is very well received. Thank you. We enjoyed our visit to Munich thanks to the location of the hotel”

“The worst hostel booking I've ever made! I requested a booking last week. There was availability at the Hostel. I received an instant confirmation of my booking request. Four of us came to Mittenwald today and 2hrs before my check-in, I received an email stating that there are no rooms available. Absolutely pathetic and unwelcoming. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Rude!!!!! I write this while I'm travelling back to a town far away. My short vacation plans are now spoiled. Thanks to the owner's irresponsible action.”

“The location is quite nice, the rooms are decent. I would like to express the confusion that I experienced while showering in this hostel, as the water splashes everywhere, two showers were broken and the water stops every ten seconds. My most valuable impression, however, was obtained from absolutely ghastly food served here. I don't know whether the hotel actually pays a cook or asks someone's 11 years old child to quickly whip up some fake food out of nowhere, but all this was barely possible to eat. Considering the fact each meal costs around 7,90€, I find that rather outrageous. I'd wholeheartedly recommend to the management to reconsider their attitude towards what people are supposed to eat. Disgusting.”
