“I’ve stayed here twice now and had the same room both times. The room is very nice and spacious. The check in and welcome was good. Breakfast was a bit of a let down this time though. Service was very slow and my Eggs Benedict was served cold and I didn’t have time to send it back for another. The evening bar service was good and the guy behind the bar was good for a chat. Great location for visiting the outlet shopping centre nearby too. It’s only a few minutes walk. Overall a good place to stay.”

There is also a brasserie with a reasonable price for a good meal. The staff is friendly. Zoutelande is just a few minutes away by bike and There’s ONLY one parking place for each cottage. Well, in all it’s a good experience. You have everything you need to experience a nice stay. What else?”

“Had an AMAZING fine dining experience. Totally recommend that. But if you're used to luxury hotels, in my opinion this isn't really top notch in terms of rooms. The walls are a bit dirty and have scratches, the furniture seem coming from ikea. For the price it was there wasn't even a bath hub but just a shower. The room temperature was really warm and my partner didn't have a peaceful night because of that and we couldn't lower the temperature for some reason. In the mini bar there were wines, cheap snacks, coca cola and Heineken ...which to me it's a total mismatch with the image the hotel presents of itself. It would have been much different to find healthy bio organic snacks and beers from local breweries, for instance. However the bed was really comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. I would definitely go back for the fine dining, but I wouldn't spend my money for a room again.”

“Stayed here with my Mum for business. The staff were so friendly and professional from the very start to the very end of our stay. We both felt very welcomed. The surroundings are elegant and fresh. The room was spotless and quite large, with a lovely rain shower in the bathroom and a double sink. There are plenty of lovely lounge style areas in the communal areas of the hotel to relax too. The staff are always willing to help. The location is excellent, it was easy to walk to all the different sights we wanted to see in Amsterdam and to get there from the train station. If I would recommend any improvements (it's really minor) I would just say the hair dryer isn't very powerful and could be better. But that's all! Everything else was absolutely perfect and I hope to visit again. Thank you for a lovely stay.”

“I recently stayed at The Green Elephant Hostel with my 3-year-old and 7-month-old in the family room, and I can't speak highly enough of our experience. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, even with the little ones. The hostel is exceptionally clean and boasts a perfect location, just minutes from the station and a short walk to the gorgeous town centre. The breakfast options, even for vegans, were fabulous. The staff were not only extremely helpful and friendly but also showed remarkable knowledge about the area. Unfortunately, our 3-year-old fell ill during our stay, but the team was incredibly understanding. They provided fresh sheets and towels in the middle of the night and allowed us to use their washing and drying machines. Their kindness made an already perfect stay (despite the illness) even more memorable, and I genuinely hope to return soon. I highly recommend The Green Elephant Hostel for families and any other type of stay.”

“Room is clean, new and nice. Receptionist was alright. The hotel parking is not a convenient entrance. The pillows are flattest ever, resulted neck/shoulder pain on us. Breakfast is beautifully presented with great service. Very clean and attentive service! The lady is working hard to refresh the stock and makes it feel homey. However, the capouccino isn't good. There are instant noodles available too.”

“We stayed here for one night during our 5 days cycling trip. It was the first stop and what a wonderful beginning! The receptionist received us with a big smile and made us feel home from minute one. The campsite is in the middle of a forest and it blends perfectly with the nature around. On top of that, they have a nice bar to have a drink (or two) and two different cozy areas to sit and relax. We will definitely come back.”
