“Beautiful view from the room. The staff were very kind and helpful. They have access they can provide to a 24 hour gym. Parking right in front with e-charging options. Also had a restaurant, wine room, and outside seating which we didn’t use based on timing and weather. We had an early morning flight and they packaged up fruit for us to take along since we wouldn’t be at breakfast. Highly recommend.”

“We stayed one night for my husband’s birthday and had a wonderful time! It’s definitely a splurge so not for casual or longer-term stays, but for one or two nights it’s worth saving up for for a special treat. The room was a great size, and everything felt very new and worked well (like being able to stream music from your phone to the TV, all the modern lighting functions, etc.). Super comfy bed and pillows. Very nice modern bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower. The design of the room made it feel really special and fun. Excellent attention to the small details. We visited the cocktail bar, Pier 42, and had amazing drinks with wonderful service. The breakfast buffet is absolutely one of the best we’ve ever had at any hotel! Especially the scrambled eggs and all the Norwegian goat cheeses. Plus bagels!! Hard to find in Norway :) Again, very friendly and welcoming service. Overall for our special occasion visit, it was absolutely worth the cost, especially because of the GREAT breakfast and kind staff. Would absolutely recommend and hope to stay here another time soon!”

“I absolutely adored staying at this gorgeous hotel and regretted not staying longer. I stayed two nights in the historic wing and my room had a balcony which overlooked the fjord. It was so peaceful and beautiful. It was autumn so the leaves had begun changing colors and the town was quiet and pretty empty. The breakfast was wonderful and it was great to enjoy it in a leisurely fashion. The hotel had a great many sitting areas with very comfortable couches in beautifully decorated rooms filled with art.”

“We stayed in a cabin during 2 nights in October. It was simply wonderful. The cabins were cosy. They have everything you might need for your stay. It was so peaceful, and the view was amazing. There is a little store on the grounds where we got our provisions for the first night. After that, we used the store near the docks. (it's basically down the road) The host was friendly and helpful. I didn't add 5 stars for service because of a minor detail. We opted to use towels and linen from the camping. The only linen they have is for single beds, so we had to use linen for 2 single beds to make the double bed. If I had known that beforehand, I would've chosen to bring linen for the double bed and still rent the rest. But the host explained how to best make the beds with singles, and it worked out fine. A cruise ship docked on the day we left, and I was happy we were on our way out because suddenly, all the peace and quiet was gone. I think this will be a very busy place during spring and summer. This might change the whole ambience of the place. Another thing I wish I'd known beforehand is the road closures in the area. When travelling during autumn and winter, some roads might be closed for safety reasons or for maintenance. This really adds to your travel time. So check up on it before booking anything. The host keeps you updated if anything changes with the accessibly of the camping. Which was yet another wonderful part of their service. All in all, I would return here in a heartbeat, and I would definitely stay longer.”

Amazing views of the fjord below from many rooms. On site meals were delicious. Since our meals were included with our tour each meal was a fixed 3-4 courses. Really delicious. Would definitely stay again.”

“If I could give 6 stars for service, I would. The receptionists on duty were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and just plain nice to interact with. The room was good, bathroom nice and spacious and the breakfast is top notch. One piece of advice for management: it is fantastic that you have chargers for electric vehicles, but they are nearly useless as quite often parked full with normal cars. On Saturday when we arrived, all spaces were parked shut with ice vehicles . I would strongly recommend to have some arrangement with a local towing company to enable your receptionists to do something about it (have the cars towed away) . As it is now, the receptionist have to deal with unhappy guests and that is not fair to them.”
