“Stayed Friday to Sunday. Hotel had a very interesting vibe. It was nice to see a different type of hotel with a specific theme. There was books everywhere and people can take them as read them If they like. There also also many carpets everywhere. I found silverfish on some of them and they were very dusty. The breakfast was okay and was an extra cost. They had a coffee station, juice station, bread station, yogurt station and an area to have some salad, eggs and bacon. I also went to the spa, which was nice.”

“Nice little hotel in the middle of the village. Fantastic breakfast, nice spa area with sauna and jacuzzi. Ample lounge area behind the reception. We found the room to be slightly on the small side, basically only a bed, but still of high standard, bathroom as well. There is a big public parking just a hundred meters away in case the hotel parking is full. A stroll through the park and a visit to the small harbour, as well as the long beach with the nice villas behind it, is well worth the time. If you visit in the summer, do not forget the ice cream factory as well!! We enjoyed our visit here!!”

I asked for wi-fi access to check the weather - and the attendant would not give it to me, just showed something on his phone (which was, of course, utterly useless). We passed the station twice, on one day they were selling some basic supplies outside, but two days later the there was nothing out, and the attendant said "we are not a shop" (I had almost forgotten how some people in Sweden take enjoyment in being rude if they think they are right). All in all, the station gives the mean-spirited hiking vibe that we have all seen before. It probably would have been better if it did not exist at all, because then one would plan differently and not count on getting any help there.”

The biggest fault is the noise pollution from the nearby roads and other guests: cleaning lorries consistently male a lot of noise between 6:30 and 7, and whilst the guests are generally the well-behaved variety, the inner walls are thin enough that you can hear every word of a reasonably quiet conversation. Honestly, though, the overall experience is grand. Happy to recommend!”
