Tattoos are fine here as you bath in private sessions. Dining is also booked in private sessions, so if they are booked out you will need to go into town for meals, but they have a shuttle that can take you in and pick you up. We managed to get a booking for one breakfast during our stay and we were not fans of the set menu.”

“It’s a bit expensive, but also an amazing hotel that offers everything you could ask for during a stay in Japan. Our stay included the breakfast buffet each morning and 2 meal tickets for dinner. We stayed for 2 nights, then decided to extend for one more after falling in love with the hotel (and Kobe itself). The closet has his/her yakata and haori, so everyone in the hotel walks around in kimono style robes which is a fun experience. The staff was very friendly and patient with me speaking English only. The rooftop onsen (guests only) is best in the morning, when you can watch the boats moving across the harbor. The public onsen has three different “types” of water to soak in. 10/10 would stay again.”

“The room was rather small but the bed was comfortable for me. I loved their breakfast, they had these cute mini croffle and grilled sandwich stations. The pastries at breakfast were wonderful and freshly baked. Great selections of delicious tea at the coffee lounge that you can enjoy freely. There was also an interesting wine vending machine that unfortunately we didn’t get to try. Loved how they carefully curated some local Kobe products in the food & drink. Location wise is close walking distance to the JR Sannomiya station and next door is a supermarket! Overall value for money, but service could be improved.”
