They make you feel so at home and welcome! The food was amazing(very great quality and feels homemade) the coffee and the fresh fruit juices were delicious. Going on the morning guided walks were something out of a dream seeing the waterfalls and swimming in the river. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. WE WILL BE BACK.”

“We had a fantastic stay at Celestino. After a mix up with another hotel not having our booking, we were saved by Alejandro who works in reception. He was so kind and helpful, despite it being 2am, in finding us a room and making us feel comfortable. We had only just arrived in Colombia so after a long flight, we can’t thank him enough for that. We had only planned to stay 1 night but we liked it so much we ended up staying there for the duration of our time in Medellin. The rooms were beautiful and whilst it was in a busy area, the noise wasn’t too bad and didn’t keep us awake. The breakfast in the cafe downstairs was delicious and the rooftop has a bar and jacuzzi (sounds odd given the heat in the day but it was a really lovely thing to do in the evening at sundown). A huge thank you to Alejandro and the whole team enough for making our stay so great, we’ll definitely be back if we visit Medellin again.”

“Don’t leave money under your mattress for any reason. The cleaning lady will steal it when she changes the sheets in the morning and if you complain they won’t believe you. I stayed here for almost 3 weeks. Not happy about my 600,000 pesos being stolen. Be careful. Don’t leave your valuables around and keep it in the safe. At least their safe is big enough for a laptop. And when I complained about a mosquito being in the room they said it’s because I left my window open.”

“We absolutely loved our time at El Cielo. The service was incredible. Thank you especially to Juan Miguel who is an exemplary of 5 star service. The rooftop pool was a comfortable 30C degrees with great views, and the breakfast was varied and lovely. The area is very safe and a good place for tourists. The one drawback of our stay was the initial "Standard Suite" we were given. The room was incredibly small and not suitable for a hotel of this stature. We couldn't comfortably open up two suitcases without having to jump over them as the walkways were unreasonably narrow and not fit for purpose. Thankfully we were upgraded to a higher class suite which had much more space and were able to stay comfortably.”

“Noisy. The room itself was nice, but we heard a weird constant banging sound. Our room had a strange opening above the jacuzzi which also carried the noises. The location is great for being close to food, bars and clubs. But we could hear it all until 3am. Our AirPods noise cancellation feature helped a ton.”

“Appalling customer service, they are very discriminating, the hotel rooms are outdated, not the pictures you see online, breakfast is poor to none. I had a big issue with their two staff Oscar and Sergio who discriminated against a family member that was visiting us, he was insinuating the family member was a escort, even though they had the same surname, I spoke with their hotel director Jorge, who was dismissive, dishonest and had promised to investigate and refund the unused nights after the incident, I refused to accept the behaviour from the bell boy and the reception, I left right away, the hotel director acted within dishonest, promised the refund and this never happened, I’ll be proceeding with the chargeback within my bank to recover the money I have lost, I’ll be reporting to the Colombian authorities (MINCIT) as they were very discriminatory against gays. DONT STAY IN THIS HOTEL IF YOU ARE GAY!”

“The place was really beautiful and very romantic. You get a beautiful view of medellin and the sounding neighborhoods. It was a bit cloudy when we went but the cloud would go away every so often to reveal beutiful medelling from way up in the mountains.😍. The hot tub does tale a while to fill up and warm up but once it is and you get in it is perfect. I would recommend this place to couple looking for a get aways from the city life and find a romantic place for just the two with alot of privacy”

“My partner and I stayed here for about month in Jan/Feb 2021. We work remotely so having a nice, clean and safe work area is crucial for us. We like to have fun too, so being close to restaurants, bars, & shops is important too. :) Included in our stay was breakfast each morning consisting of things like coffee/tea, fruit and croissant/toast. Although, some mornings bits of our breakfast were missing or the drinks weren't hot. But most mornings it was great. :) They did have a restaurant attached, so we had the option to order different items at an additional cost. Like wine... we ordered a few bottles which we enjoyed on our balcony many nights lol! For work, I upload a few videos a week and my partner has a lot of business video calls. Whilst she didn't have many major problems my videos did take ALL night to upload. This was NOT Affinity's fault, there was an internet line under the sea that broke which apparently caused the WIFI to be slow. One thing that was certainly irritating was the shower. Yes it was hot, however every 2-3mins the water would get very cold. We soon figured out to just turn it off and back on and it would be hot again. There is a gym/sauna attached to the sister hotel, however it is very small and does not have much equipment. So unless you just need a treadmill or elliptical, I recommend paying to go the the gym 2 minutes up the road. The cleaning crew stopped by daily and they were wonderful! Most days we didn't need cleaning, but having the option each day for a cleaning was perfect. The front desk workers were amazing too, always greeting us when we left/arrived. They helped us find things to do and recommended us a laundry service to use. To summarise, we had an AMAZING time in Medellín staying at Affinity. The room we stayed in was lovely with a great view, cold aircon, sufficient kitchen, and we felt safe. The workers were kind and helpful and I would recommend anyone staying in Medellín to stay at Affinity! The pictures of the room were taken the day we left, so please excuse some of the mess.
