The beds were very comfortable and rooms were so cozy and beautiful… I have never been in a more picturesque place. The spa circuit was very relaxing and the massages we received were rejuvenating. The mountains, the hiking, the nearby cows, sheep, and horses, the river to kayak, the Oceanside towns within driving distance…what a perfect location for a getaway. The quality and price was worth it a million times over. Lastly… the food! We ate almost every meal at the hotel. It was so thoughtful and delicious. Asturias is known for the food, but we were blown away with the quality and freshness of everything we ate. We will be coming back and bringing friends!”

“We can’t speak highly enough of this place. The room was gorgeous, all the people were lovely, the setting was stunning, the food was incredible and the art room was so much fun. On top of our amazing stay, our car broke down on our way out of the hotel and the staff moved heaven and earth to try and help us, packing us up with snacks, ordering tow trucks and even contacting their friend who works for Hyundai. The details as shampoo and shower gel from Rituals, and other details are also noticed. Shower at the entrance to the hotel is very useful. The person at reception and overall service are nice.”

The hotel was spotless, the apartment was well equipped and the location near the beaches was perfect. Above all however, the welcome from the staff was exceptional and they went out of their way to make our stay as easy and as enjoyable as possible. “Vice camp site, close to the virgen del mar island,with nice views and walks, very hot shower without push timer. But the best thing is the owners. After it rained allot at night, we got a bit stuck and dirty. The owner came to help with mats and after we were out gave us a free bottle of their wine and a token for the washing machine.”

“Loved this hotel. Ended up here for one night very unexpectedly and delighted we did. The hotel has a family run feel to it and very laid back vibes. We were attracted to this hotel over the other local hotels as it has a pool. We were pleasantly surprised that it's a heated outdoor pool so not that freezing feel when you enter! My kids spent 2 days at the pool. We checked out at 12 noon but could spend the day at the pool and there's a poolside shower and toilet which is great when you've checked out. It's about a 10/15 min walk from Candas, feels like nothing but a nice leisurely stroll away and so close to the beach. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Kids had fried chicken and chips, Calamari and chips and I had the burger and chips, all very nice. Breakfast buffet was basic but had everything, we didn't arrive until 10 (finishes at 10.30) so we probably would have had more options earlier. The lady of the house made an appearance after our dinner and asked if we enjoyed it, I think she actually did the cooking, very friendly welcoming touch. The man on reception/General manager/owner was so nice too, gave us his charger to use, speaks great English and hires great friendly young staff most with some English. Shout out to Marta who I had great chats with at the bar. All in all, would highly recommend for an authentic Spanish break. Read some other reviews, most customers rate this hotel highly but read some low rated scores and I think if you're expecting fancy, look for and pay for 4 or 5 star hotel. The hotel is very well kept and very clean but yes there are signs of ageing and some areas that could do with modernisation but for me it adds to the charm of this fabulous family run hotel. It is hotter in the room than outdoors. And the fridge doesn't work either. Ok I called reception and ask for a fan. Kudos to him, he did bring a fan in minutes. So, that's good. But if AC is a priority, you might want to call to check if they have fixed it. (My stay is on 18th June 2022)”

“We stayed in the tent for a night and I really enjoyed the experience and slept very well on the mattress. The only downsides are that the tents are close to one another and there are only 3 showers per gender (however when we were here the camping was not fully booked so there was absolutely no problem with the showers). Other than that very nice experience and the staff is extremely kind!! Also, every tent comes with a table and chairs / benches, which allow you to enjoy the camping more. I would come here again!”
