The room was beautiful and very comfortable, including the beds and linens. The main floor lounge was a lovely option to hang out in. The self-serve coffee and complimentary refreshment area was a welcome delight, including the ability to fill your water bottle with either still or sparkling water. Enjoyed the evening happy hour with the other guests. Nice opportunity to meet others. Lovely breakfast room with a wonderful included breakfast. Highly recommend. “Stunning views, delicious food, and friendly staff! This was the best stay we had during our 2.5 week trip to Italy. Truly a 5 star stay, nothing compares to the hospitality at Il Borro. All the restaurants on site were absolutely delicious. They have so many experiences on site such as horseback riding, wine tasting, and cooking classes. We took part in a wine and cheese tasting where we also got a tour of the distillery. Since we went in the off season it ended up being a private wine tasting. Our room was in the restored medieval village which was an experience on its own. We have not been able to stop raving about our time at Il Borro to our friends and family we highly recommend staying here! Hope to visit again one day!”

“Amazing hotel! All of our rooms ("Rosa" and "Orchidea") were massive, had a kitchen with dining area (with kitchen supplies; cutlery, plates, glasses, oven etc.) and a big bedroom! Rustic Italian feelings. Cooking courses and wine tasting classes were offered by Chef Anna. We opted for the Pizza and Pasta course (gnocchi, pizza, focaccia, pesto, tomato sauce and cantuccini made from scratch). Amazing!! It made me go back in time and feel as if I was cooking with my grandma. Lovely and rustic Italian kitchen. The ingredients were all fresh from the farm or garden. Delicious! Positives: friendly staff, amazing courses, pretty scenery, location (from Figline Valdarno you can be in Siena, Arezzo or Firenze in 1 hour). Plenty of parking places, lovely pools (indoor and outdoor). The hotel itself is beautiful. Negatives: gym (*very* little and old resistance training equipment). Wellness area was under construction/ renovation so it was not accessible. Breakfast buffet was not the best: little to choose from, but most importantly, I would have hoped for (served) freshly brewed coffee and cappuccinos. We instead had to use a coffee machine in the buffet area. Some annoyances here and there about the shower; the water was set to our preference but would turn either super cold or super warm after a few seconds and lasting for a few seconds (for the entirety of your showering).”

Say half a bar that's a first time sandwiches. The staff are extremely helpful and compassionate (always offering help as I am using a cane -recovering from an injury). The little bay is quite nice and the water is pretty shallow. They offe a safe for your valuables that locks wirelessly with a water proof bracelet - a very convenient touch. It fills up quickly so make sure you reserve. The parking is €10 for the day and there's a shuttle Van with a wonderful driver, who speaks fluent English. Excellent coffee!!”
