“We used the wellness centre for the lovers secret massage and was not disappointed. The hotel is beautiful and well equipped, very well set out and furnished. There are beautiful views of the sea from its many set out loungers and nooks. The wellness team were fantastic and very welcoming and accommodating. The massage itself took place outside in a set out area where all you could hear was the breeze and the waves of the sea. Our massage included champagne and chocolate which we were able to have in a beautiful location next to the massage area. We definitely recommend and will be back”

“Rooms are beautiful; we had the garden ones with a sea view, which were really nice. However: - The walls are super thin, so you can literally hear everything from your neighbors and the floor. Unfortunately, we had neighbors who watched TV very loudly, preventing us from falling asleep or waking us up early in the morning. - The service in the restaurant is, unlike what we expect for that price category, really bad, except for one or two colleagues who always had a smile on and were happy to take your order or clear your table. Apart from that, in 4 nights, we never received wine recommendations nor were actively asked for drink orders even when our glasses were empty. Overall, the service, both at breakfast and in the evening, seemed very annoyed, which I find really unfortunate because the colleagues may not be aware of how much the service matters in such a hotel. Reading the other reviews, the stressed service is very often being mentioned so I’m wondering when and if the hotel will ever take actions on this. - Many describe the buffet as diverse, which we did not feel, but it must be said that we have rather high standards for food.”

“We stayed at Hotel Tigaiga in January 2024. Overall it was a pleasant and positive experience. The location of the hotel is about a 20 minute walk up from Puerto de la Cruz downtown and is quite quiet. The service staff are very professional and friendly and always willing to help. For example, the beds were too hard for us and they put tops on them so they were softer. Our booking included breakfast and dinner. Both where standard. The breakfast was of good quality. For dinner they offer a menu (not a buffet) where you have two options for starters and two options for the main course (meat or fish) and desert. If you are a vegatarian or vegan there where no options on the official menu on any day. But we must admit that we did not ask for them. Officially there are none. Would we book this hotel again? Without the dinner option, yes. However, for some reason we did not sleep well most of the nights. Surely this was because the beds were too hard at first. But my partner slept well after they added the top.”

The staff (reception, cleaning, and kitchen) was incredibly polite, kind, and available, always ready to help with any issue. The food was absolutely wonderful!! Did not expect such tasty food from a hotel but it was honestly perfectly cooked and seasoned, and really varied too!! The pool area was always perfectly clean, with space for guests to relax under the sun or under the shade (nice palm trees area). The beach itself was very lovely too, clean and not too crowded. Overall had a wonderful time at Calypso and would come back!”

“There was an issue with our room prior to our arrival but the staff couldn't have been more helpful, allocating us an excellent substitute. The pool complex is full of well-tended greenery, from hibiscus bushes to palm trees. In the middle of this garden is the very large pool and lots of umbrellas and sun beds. The bar and dining room is next to the pool and has excellent staff. It's got a friendly laid-back atmosphere whether you're dressed for dinner in the dining room, or you've just rocked up for a couple of happy hour cocktails at sundown. We found it beautifully peaceful and relaxing. We would certainly not hesitate to return. Thanks for a great three weeks, everyone!”

We checked in on the day they reopened - and I cannot speak highly enough about how the staff greeted us. We felt like royalty! The rooms are beautiful and relaxing, the pool warm and inviting, the restaurant amazing. But my biggest kudos for this hotel goes to the amazing staff. There isn't a single person who doesn't make you feel special. Everyone is friendly and helpful and truly can't do enough for you. Special thanks go to Naomi for her help from the beginning of our stay to the very end. She and all the staff at the Sir Anthony are a credit to the hotel. “If you are looking for a family vacation during the winter months, I would suggest staying elsewhere. The resort has one heated pool which is designated as the “relaxation”. pool. I purchased flotation devices at the resort store so I could relax in the pool and after inflating them I was informed they are not allowed and suggested we use the kids pool. The water in that pool is not heated and is ice cold. The picture of the kids pool was taken around noon on a Saturday in December. Clearly nobody uses it because it is freezing. I attempted to return the floatation devices and they would not accept them because they were open. When I explained that I purchased them to use at the pool and the pool will not allow it, they asked me to speak to reception. Reception said that they could not help because floaties are “against the rules”. When we pointed out that the pool rules don’t exclude floaties, they finally took action. They went to the pool with a sharpie and wrote “no floaties”. I wouldn’t bring my family here again if it was the last place on earth.”

“Absolutely fantastic complex villas have ice cold air conditioning. Drinking water on tap .washing machine dishwasher microwave 2 showers.2 toilets and bath plus much more . The restaurant and bar on site are fantastic. A very clean and tidy complex plenty of umbrellas and sun loungers . Pools are very cold but refreshing. The main strip is about 30 minutes walk away but if you don’t fancy the walk just wait outside the complex at the taxi area and they come along quite often only 3.40 euros . And only about 10 minutes walk to water park”
