“Really really good restaurant at a constant incredibly high standard using regional produce to create true fine cooking for Gault Millau-level Dining🍀 Hotel and Service are just as great😊 After years of visiting and truly celebrating the wonderful tastes of the Fischerwirt's dishes, yesterday evening was again a wonderful experience, like usual. Very straightforward and easygoing reservation even in times of Christmas Events, impeccable service and oh my the food has somehow gotten even more delicious! I was surprised looking at my older pictures in this review when I realized that probably we ate the same dishes last time already even though I had sworn that I never tasted a soup like this before. That is true skill! Of course they vary the dishes but even improving the Classics with a bit more creativity just excels the known levels of awesomeness and taste 🤤 What we also especially appreciate is that they are still very down to earth because they know without their regular loyal customers the best of concepts couldn't flourish, so it is still a casual restaurant per se and has the feeling of a real Austrian Wirtshaus. Another plus point is that they kindly ask whether you want to receive a Gedeck up front or not and if yes how many of the party. We love that they don't force it upon you and let you pay for it afterwards but rather you can decide (go for it - it's delicious 🤤). Only slight critique is that the red wine I had was served too cold, apart from that everything was spot on !”

“Stayed there for two night. Lovely rooms. Friendly staff. Very central in Steyr. Wasn't charged any extra for the beer I took from the minibar because "the room was so small". Though I had no complaints about it. A bit poor wifi signal at the room. And there weren't separate shampoo and conditioners in the shower. Just the normal shower soap. Brekfeast a bit poor as well. Though I attended it in the last second.”

“The so-called "business hotel" had a party in an area right underneath the rooms balconies until 2AM on a Thursday night!! When they know that their room isolation is an absolute ZERO. I've been there for one night for a business trip to attend a two days seminar, sleeping was basically impossible. If you think you're going to have a restful sleep, think again, go somewhere else.”

“The family earns extra basket money through additional features. For example, we couldn't use the wellness area before moving into the room. The room was only available around 3 p.m. It's probably intentional that the rooms are only "ready" so late. What do you do on a bad weather day? You pay the additional fee and go to the wellness area. Some of the dinner wasn't warmed up properly. For such a luxurious hotel, I expect fresh cooking. However, the food was already prepared and just warmed up when we arrived. The waiters were helpful and friendly, hence the two stars. However, the owner family was not very motivated or friendly at reception. On the day of departure, the boss seemed very dismissive, according to the motto, the main thing is that the money was transferred. We will not visit the hotel again, not worth the exorbitant price.”

Just a small complaint, for a 4 star hotel there was missing hotel amenity kit like a sewing kit, small soap, travel shoe shine, but it is only a small details I've noticed.”

Area/streets were peaceful and quiet when we were visiting. Heating was arranged trough ventilation system so it seamed it works but with very slow reaction.”

I highly recommend their home made lemonades . . . They were a daily treat. I will say that my weird dietary restrictions severely limited how well I could eat, but that could easily be fixed by simply offering non-dairy options with coffee. Otherwise what a peaceful, beautiful forested place!”
