“The hotel on paper is impressive, but in reality it leaves quite a lot to be desired. My room had not been cleaned properly when I checked in, I had to insist upon it being cleaned properly. The room was very tired in places, in the bathroom the bath tub did not drain properly and the shower housing was brown in places with old dirt, The shower gel and shampoo were almost empty. The room carpet was heavily stained. Also there wasn't any complementary water or even a kettle, only a non complimentary minibar. The basic room rate was close to 150€. I had reserved half board and was disappointed by the quality of the food on offer. The congealed "Maggi" type sauces combined with some undercooked meats left my appetite seriously wanting. To say this is a 4*+, I was shocked at the low quality food offerings. I have had better motorway service station food. This hotel is in need of improvement in every capacity. The receptionists were helpful and apologetic, and the waiting staff attentive, but the buck should not rest with them but the management and the owner. Not recommended!”

“This is a modern and at the same time traditional hotel located in the middle of nature. They offer local food which is often prepared with variations of a local beer brand. The wellness area is new and offers saunas, indoor pool and steam rooms. The outdoor pond with natural water is the highlight of the garden. Overall a very nice stay at a reasonable price which can be recommended.”

“The room was clean, but had no fridge in it. The whole place has a new and fresh feeling to it, which was nice. We arrived at around 01:30, a machine gave us our card to our room by entering our name in. It was soulless but it worked. There was nobody at the reception when we left around 10:30 either. The breakfast was good, it had a lot of vegan options as well. The breakfastroom was also clean. The coffee and the cake with it were both great. My partner had a cappuccino, that came with chocolate. You can't get it without. It was weird, but also good. Overall, especially for the price, it is a not perfect but a very good option to sleep on the way, especially for the price.”

“The location as well as the building are very beautiful, however the owner is as moody as they come and often unfriendly to the guests and unfortunately some of the staff have learned from him. We went there a total of 6 times on the past three years. If you don't make a reservation and simply ask for a table (while there are clearly several tables free during off hours) you will get a lecture of how you should always make a reservation and you should feel incredibly lucky to be able to get a table there. It's annoying because this place is rarely full outside of the weekend and reserving a table is pretty much pointless. Today the owner told us to go to a table outside even though there were several free tables inside. Once we sat down outside the waiter started complaining why we didn't take a table inside, even though there were several people already sitting and eating outside. Only after we explaoned that the owner has asked us to use the outside table he begrudgingly decided to serve us. However by that time our mood was beyond wanting to eat there or even discussing anything with the staff and we left. Absolutely unprofessional and rude, this was our last visit.”

“I traveled from the U.S. to spend sometime with my kids here. I had a great experience with my kids. The Staff and the service is very nice and supportive. My kids and I LOVED the breakfast in this hotel. Extra kudos for the hotel staff as well. The only feedback I have is for the parking situation. Parking should be free for hotel guests or less than 15 Euros. This is a bit too much for parking.”

“Returning to Schlosspark in August 2023 was a letdown (previously visited a few times). The absence of a warm welcome was stark, with not even a smile from the staff upon arrival. This set a cold and unwelcoming tone for our stay. A significant discomfort was the hotel's decision to turn off the air conditioning during a sweltering August night, with temperatures around 28 degrees Celsius. This disregard for guest comfort was surprising and unacceptable. Our dinner experience was notably saved by a couple of very friendly and attentive waiters, whose service was a highlight in an otherwise disappointing visit. However, breakfast was a letdown with meals compromised by bugs and flies. This was not only unappetizing but also concerning, and it was disheartening to see that no staff took initiative to address this issue. The overall management and ambiance of the hotel seemed to have declined since our last visit, indicating it might be time to explore other adult-only hotels for future stays. Not recommended with this management.”

“If you are OK with the drive (1.5 hours from Vienna), this is one of the best small zoos I have seen in the province. The kids loved the deers, boars, ducks, swans, rabbits, etc. Pony rides. A relatively easy hike with beautiful views. The rooms are classic, comfortable and beautiful. We were there for a birthday party, and the food was top notch as well. Rooms were around $90/night.”
