“Our family of 4 had a great stay at Adler Hotel recently. We had a junior suite room with a sofa bed which our 10 and 12 year old kids shared. The room had a little balcony overlooking the square and was whisper quiet overnight. The whole place was very clean, staff were extremely friendly and the kids loved patting Louie the dog in the lobby- plus the chocolates! The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been a slightly larger breakfast offering eg a few more cereals. We would stay here again and would recommend the location.”

“Such a unique hotel! Look for the painting of a cat, high on a ledge, on the front of the building. The staff is wonderful. Perhaps they will tell you the story of the cat. The rooms a so beautifully decorated and each unique! Here they have a bar with over 600 types of bourbon! Great central location!”

“Beautiful old building. Rooms are small but beautiful. Comfortable beds, well stocked bathrooms. Great service from the front desk. We did not get a chance to try the restaurant or bar, but the bar looked gorgeous. The location is great. Right next to a metro stop, easy walking distance to the train station and a very easy walk to major shopping and attractions. I highly recommend this hotel”

“I loved this hotel! The shower is beautiful. Everything was super clean. Tons of different lighting throughout the room. Extremely friendly staff everywhere. Super helpful as well :) Breakfast was delicious with so many different options including the juices! So worth it! The bus stop is right outside and is less than a 5 minute ride from the airport which was so nice after such a long flight. When it was time to leave I jumped back on it and it takes you to all the trains, buses back at the airport whether you’re going to Zurich HB or further. What a great start to my vacation :). Thank you!”

“It’s ideal for those flying out of Zurich early in the morning because of its proximity to the airport. The room was spacious and staff was nice. Plenty of space to unpack stuff, instant coffee and bottled water in the room, mini fridge. Comfortable bedding. No A/C but there was a fan. The room could’ve been much cleaner. It’s located right by the train station so it’s rather noisy. Breakfast not included. Overall good for one night.”

“We booked for an overnight getaway, based on reviews/recommendations and photos, and we were not disappointed. The staff was always communicative and attentive, and the food was tip top. They offer many local wines which are very reasonably priced and complement the food nicely. For dinner my partner and I shared the Chateaubriand, which was cooked perfectly. For starters my husband ordered the ginger soup, and I ordered the Riesling soup, which is a regional specialty - both were excellent. We were too full for dessert, but the cappuccino and complimentary chocolate morsels were a perfect end to the sumptuous meal. As an American living in Switzerland, I can say that the hosts are very kind and welcoming to tourists and expats. You can trust them to guide you on food-wine pairings, level of doneness for meats, etc. They also observe Covid protocols closely, which is a great comfort. The building is beautiful, and there’s plenty of free parking. Our cozy room was clean, with a private bathroom. The bed was comfortable, with luxurious down comforters and feather pillows. The prices for food and accommodations are extremely reasonable, considering the high quality of service. The owner oversees everything down to the last detail, and nothing is overlooked. We would love to return!”

“Very disappointing… the rooms are not the same as in the pictures. The room that we booked was absolutely not big enough for 2 people, it was also not possible to charge a laptop or anything like that. We checked another room, for which we of course had to pay much more per night, but that room was not better at all, it was actually quite creepy. All rooms are super noisy, so you woke up very early when someone walked through the hallway, as if they were standing in your room. We also felt a bit ripped off. We were first in a public parking garage, which cost 45 Francs per 24 hours, later (with great difficulty) we were in a parking space that belonged to the hotel. We had to pay 50 Francs per 24 hours for this, while we later saw that the website indicated 40 Francs. As a foreigner you are not received warmly and we got the feeling that we were being treated less favorably. Not friendly service, very cold. In any case, we felt anything but welcome. Pity. We were glad we left after 2 nights.”
