One of the great bonuses was that we arrived on a Sunday evening, and were pleased to find out that the restaurant/bar was open until 9pm. The menu was quite large, and definitely will have something for everybody. Our room was perfect. It felt like I was staying in somebody's guest room, rather than a hotel. We loved this. Also, our room had an incredible view of the nearby mountains. We actually woke up to a rainbow outside our window. If we visit the Harz Mountains again, we definitely would love to stay here a second time!”

“The Burg is absolutely beautiful, there are many nice buildings, a lot of lawns where you can test, flowers to enjoy. It is a quite place - there were 3 weddings during our stay, but we were not disturbed by them.. BUT: The staff barely speaks English. So it is very difficult to communicate and solve problems that occur. If you want to eat you have to arrange the plates and cuttlery by yourself - we waited more then 15 minutes at the table and noone came to take care of us and the other guests. The staff althoug is nice (especually the waitress) once you catch 😉 them. The "white house" in which we stayed smellals of cat (?) urin. The curtains are usless - the sun will wake you up at 5 am. The carpet is stained The room need some renovation. We stayed 2 nights - noone showed to clean the room. No air conditioning (in the white house) The check out is at 10 am. The reception closes at 15 pm. Conclusion: it has a huge potential. It would be a real gem if someone took greater care and hired more people. I saw the stuff struggle to manage all the guests (especially during the weddings)”
