“We stayed in this resort for 3 days and 2 Nights. It was a pleasant stay even though it was raining non-stop due to the Typhoon Goring. Room: We stayed in Standard Twin (Second Floor, Left Building). Spacious room for us (3 adults). The room is still spacious for 5 adults. May mini fridge, water supplies, tea, coffee, and coffee press. TV with Cable (not smart TV). Water supplies in the bathroom are strong. Something to improve: (Minimal) 1. Noise. Hindi naming alam if from other rooms ba or from the stockroom that is near to our room. Kalabog ng parang door or something banging on the wall. 2. Shower head. Alanganin ung placement ng shower head and patungan ng mga toiletries. Foods: We are happy with the taste, and for us, it is a reasonable price. The quality is not cheap. For example, soy sauce is not the most common cheap soy sauce in the market. Seafoods are fresh too. We had Sinigang, Kilawin, Pork Sisig, Shrimp in Aligue, Liempo, Daing na Bangus Belly, Continental Sausage, Buffet Breakfast. We respect the reviews here about their foods. Marami ang namamahalan. For us, sulit naman with ang price and quality ng foods. They are careful and strict with bringing food not because they want to sell theirs, but because of the Monkeys. Maraming monkeys that strolling around kasi they are visiting trees na may mga fruits na kinakain nila. If the Resort is not strict in bringing food, they will have problems/challenge with the monkeys. Nangunguha kasi sila ng pagkain na nakakalat. Our advice is to add a budget for the food 😌 If budgeted ang trip, you may drive din naman going to Harbor Point and Subic Center to eat in restaurants. Approximately 30mins drive. Bring snacks, it is allowed naman. Service: Excellent! They are very attentive, fast, and reliable. Due to the typhoon, nagka flood and the employees made a small makeshift footbridge. For every request, they ensure they can fulfill it. Massage: Okay din. Book in advance. Beach/Swimming Pool: Clean beach, nice sands. Not too salty water on the beach and minimal waves. We love the scenery kasi may mountains sa tapat. Swimming pool is nice too, pwede sa bata kasi hindi malalim. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back here ☺️”

La Jolla Luxury Beach Resort

J9F9+HQ2, Bagac, Bataan, Philippines

“We love the place, how it’s built and designed. Staff were also very courteous. However, upon checking in we were informed that our rooms will only be available after an hour but that 1 hour was also not enough as it extended at 330pm. When we ate dinner at their restaurant, it took almost 2 hours of wait. We just don’t have a choice anymore as we were very tired to go out. The meal service is the main concern here. They will know how many people were booked before hand so they should be able to anticipate how to deal with the situation and not just become overwhelmed when the time comes. Then towels, if you go to the beach you can use the striped blue and white towels but take note to give them back to a lifeguard in a pool near your villa. It should have been better if the towels will just be left in the room & room service will just take care of it. Receptionists were a bit disorganized as well during check ins. I hope with the kind of business they have (Luxury Beach Resort) their customer service in terms of being organized will be improved. We still enjoyed the stay though. Then when swimming at the beach area, they are too strict to just swim where there are floaters separating a small area. Mind you there were a lot of swimmers so maybe make the cordoned area bigger?”

Mangrove Resort Hotel

Baloy Long Beach Rd, Olongapo, Zambales, Philippines

“The Location is good, the service is ok and the rooms are nice. The beds are not really that hard. You can sleep with it without any pain in your neck or your body. The service of the hotel is ok, and their staff are friendly. The bad thing about the hotel is the stairs, they don’t have an elevator and being on the top floor feels like hiking. Their beach is nice but there are fishes in the beach and there are also crabs. We hope that the food selection will be improved in the future.”

“The room was good and it was exactly as advertised. Parking was a bit of a problem. We had to wake people up so we can get out of the property and someone else had to do the same after us. The worst part was the restaurant service. Food was average but service was terrible. My brother ordered Americano and paid for it upfront but decided he wanted to put creamer and sugar but when he came back the restaurant had no sugar. He tried to cancel the order but they requested us to wait. 30 minutes later sugar arrived. They replaced the coffee since it was already cold because of the wait time only for the service crew the next day to tell us that the crew that gave us the replacement coffee left a bill for us to pay before checking out. The staff tried contacting the person my brother dealt with the night before but they can't seem to reach him so we just paid for it so we can go. Such a bad experience. Never coming back here again. And it wasn't just us that had a problem with the restaurant. We heard someone cancel 2 orders of sisig because it took forever to come out. It was Maundy Thursday and they were fully booked, they should have gotten ready for influx of orders. Obviously they didn't.”

“It’s our second time to stay here today, and it hasn’t been as pleasant as the previous one. Some staff members have been quite unhelpful so far. First, our PWD companion asked for some help in calling a trike, and the staff refused outright, saying no trikes frequent the area at that time (around 8:30pm). Just 5 minutes later, my PWD companion got a trike on her own. Another incident, my companion picked the wrong breakfast for me by mistake. I politely asked the kitchen staff to please replace it with my correct choice and returned it. Minutes later, again, the staff refused. She went to our table to tell me that I picked that dish so I’m not allowed to replace it. How hard could it be to change that check mark on a piece of paper? Third, I asked one staff about the foot massage rate. She said it was 500 (she sounded unsure, to be fair). When the massage therapist arrived, she said the rate was actually 900 per hour, which was expensive even for Manila standards, and nearly twice the amount I was informed. I had to cancel and apologize, and I just gave a tip to the therapist for the hassle. Overall, the stay is still okay, and the rooms are spacious and clean, and has a spectacular view. Some staff members are just a bit of a letdown. I still like this hotel, but I believe a refresher on customer service for its staff is absolutely necessary.”

Dawal Beach Resort

MWCM+433, Rizal St, Candelaria, 2212 Zambales, Philippines

“Our company outing this year was done in this resort. The service is great specially those resort staff who served us. The room is OK since it's a dormitory, there a lot of us and we came from a fully packed bus. The place is great. For the second time, we went to Potipot Island. However, we did not land because it was already prohibited according to our boatman.”

Hotel Sogo - Dau

Shopping Center, Dau Plaza Building, Dau Mabalacat Bus Terminus, Dau, Mabalacat, 2010 Pampanga, Philippines

“Stayed here for a night to rest. Staff were very professional. Also ordered food from their menu and it tastes quite good for its price. Only downside is they would give out plastic utensils that would easily break. Overall, had a good night's rest at a deluxe room, on a price near 900 pesos for 10 hours.”

Hotel Snow Angeles

“We had a great stay here. The room was cozy. The ac works fine. The tv has a android stick on it so you can watch on youtube or netflix (you have to login your own account tho). Since the entire hotel was made out of container expect a little noise coming from the hallway or room next to you but not that much that will bother you from sleeping. The parking is okay they have a parking slot in front of their building and a open parking lot beside the building but you have to return to hotel before 6pm so you can secure a slot for your car, since they also have a spa, cafe, restaurant and a bar (open until 2am) inside their hotel expect the high volume of vehicles that will park on their parking lot. The only problem that we encountered during our stay is the heater in the shower. There is no remote or at least instructions on how to operate it. But overall it was a good place to stay.”

Barangay, Sitio Lawak, Iba, Zambales, Philippines

“The dates we chose to stay in this resort were perfect (after Easter Sunday). There are not many guests in the place so it feels like we booked the whole resort. They are very pet-friendly resort which we appreciate and staff are very accommodating. The rooms may need some touch up. They have many rooms to offer. This resort is very family oriented. Variety of pools to choose from which is a plus factor and the pool is max 5ft. One main restaurant is available. You can bring your own food and cook outside your villa if you prefer too. The beach is good just be careful in the afternoon as there may be some jellyfish around. One suggestion is to probably put up some huts on the side. This place is perfect for team building and big family gatherings. If you're looking for some peace and serenity this one is one to consider around Iba, Zambales. ✌🏻”

Potipot Gateway Resort

Potipot Gateway, Candelaria School Of Fisheries Rd, Candelaria, 2212 Zambales, Philippines

“Booked this place because we thought Potipot Island is still open to the public, it ain’t for a while. Let me start with the positive: The staff were friendly and attended to all our requests. The beach was child friendly and clean Negative: The rooms are old. The pictures attached say a thousand words. Not worth the money we paid-4500 for 2adults & 2kids. The beachfront room we were assigned to was even worst, the floors were wooden and creaking. It felt so old that I thought Maria Clara can pop out of the mirror anytime. We had to be reassigned a new room because the bed broke. The pool was dirty The food was ok, some had generous servings, but is expensive. Generally NOT recommending the place.”
