The only thing I’d comment on is the fact that there’s no elevator in the buildings. So the staff has to carry guests baggage’s up and down the stairs, which was brutal. The temperature of the hot springs is hot, but it warms your body to the core, so it feels good to take a bath before dinner. Also, for women, there are no face wash or cleansers in the bathroom, so I think it's better to bring your own. The walls of the dome in the guest rooms are thin, so please be careful if you speak too loudly as your conversation will be overheard. Privacy can be maintained by closing the curtains. Your room will stay warm even in winter. I think it has something to do with the timing, but I was glad that there weren't many insects. The customer base ranged from young people to elderly people. The facilities are good, but unfortunately there were some groups who did not follow the proper etiquette and made loud noises.”

“What a wonderful stay! We appreciated the welcome treats. The room had a private toilet, fridge, and two very comfortable beds. The private shower/baths are downstairs. There are only 4 shower rooms with 6 guest rooms, so it is possible they may be occupied. We were fortunate to have a short wait for the shower & bath. The water felt great! We especially loved the breakfast. Everything was delicious. There was a lot of food. We were offered seconds of rice or miso soup, but we were already satisfied. We had concerns over the shared bath, but it was clean and they have a good system with locking doors. Bonus was we had less than 5 minute walk to the downtown area. Lots of great dinner options nearby. Parking is next to the hotel. We have lived in Japan for over 6 years, and this is one of our favorite stays. The hosts are wonderful!”

The only bright point is their dinner. If you are a tofu lover, their tofu is wonderful. The staffs are also friendly and helpful with good service. Not a repeat for me. They definitely need some cleaning and maintenance.”
