“Another win for Hampton Inn! We're moving a family member and have a U-Haul trailer in tow. Finding easy access parking is a challenge at times but this location has that covered. While there is no space in the parking lot for our combo, the street out front was perfect for the task. It's on a dead end street so through traffic was not a concern. Conveniently, I found a spot visible from our room. The room itself was great. 2 queen beds were very comfortable and allowed a good night's sleep for everyone. There was enough room to let us spread our stuff out and be comfortable during our early afternoon arrival and not too early departure. My only observation is that the entrance door on the East side of the building had a sign saying that it was locked at all times. It was open every time we went out to walk the dog. Maybe it's locked at night but, during the day and early evening, it was not. Breakfast was good and the dining area was spacious and well maintained.”

“I've wanted to stay here since it opened and I finally got my chance! The renovations are very well done. It's been modernized but has kept some of the historic charm. There's lots of things to see in the hallways and rooms that have to do with the original building. It's very interesting. The elevators still do weird stuff (they did when it was memorial hospital too) but the stairs aren't difficult to climb and the building is only 4 floors. The smaller building has been renovated as well but has been kept more original than the main building. It's all very pretty especially decorated for the holidays. It's an odd place so be prepared for that but it isn't scary or anything. We had a blast!”

“Very disappointed in the room & service! We were given, not 1 but 2 dirty rooms! First room had trash behind the desk & TV that we hadn't noticed until a few minutes after checking in when our puppy started choking on some kind of pills that were left on the carpet. She was foaming from the mouth & I was only able to pull 1 pill out of her mouth but unsure how many she swallowed. Turned in to emergency vet visit for toxicity. Before leaving, we were moved to a second room which had BLOOD STAINED sheets! NO THANK YOU! Front desk was no help, the manager has the most rude & disrespectful attitude! I ended our "vacation " having to call the cops out to the property because she refused to give me a refund although we decided not to stay! This place is a total joke!”

The location is pretty good, walkable to a few restaurants, and there are sideways and grassy areas to walk dogs. On this recent trip, the kitchen staff person was rude and clearly overwhelmed. Food items were not stocked. There was no coffee. When people asked her for something she would not even acknowledge their presence. The hotel either needs to hire a second person, hire someone with the energy to do the job, or place a tip jar for added incentive.”

Nothing around it and slightly overpriced, but paying for cleanliness and well lit/safety.”
