“Overall a wonderful experience at Hampton Inn in Effingham. We travel as a family for work, and the hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our king-bedroom suite was ready early and very clean! The bed was nice and comfortable and even the sofa bed was squishy and kid-approved. We loved the beautiful pool area- well stocked with towels and again very clean. The hot tub was a perfect temperature and the pool is also heated to a nice comfortable temperature. The outside patio was a nice treat, we enjoyed the sun. Breakfast in the mornings was just lovely. Hot and fresh food, constantly maintained by very friendly staff who clearly work hard to keep it so. Front desk staff was exceptional in their service, and beyond accommodating; every bit as gracious in their help as they were friendly. Housekeeping staff was also a joy to interact with- they joked with the kids and always had a smile.”

“I stayed here last night due to a snowstorm coming in. I work in Naperville but reside in Oak Lawn and didn’t want to deal with the morning commute. Upon walking inside, I was greeted by one gentleman and another, named Omar. I felt out of place at first because I’m usually a 3 star hotel gal but decided I needed to treat myself. Omar almost immediately was able to change that and made me feel very welcomed and more confident about my decision. When I walked into the room, it looked exactly like the pictures online. My first thing that had to be done was getting a nice bath and it has been a while since I felt that relaxed. I was going to order room service but was very limited on what I could get so I ordered food from a delivery company which wasn’t a hassle to have delivered to the desk. I liked how you could turn all the lights off with one button while exiting, or turn them on when coming inside the room. Literally my only complaint is the bed was too hard for me personally so I only got 3 hours of sleep. The pillows were so comfy, I liked the duvet, but the bed I just had an issue with and couldn’t get comfortable no matter what. If the beds were a little softer, I’d probably consider staying again when I decide to treat myself. But I definitely recommend staying here if that’s not an issue for you!”

“This hotel is just SUPER legit - great location, fantastic amenities, and phenomenal staff. Regarding the latter, Ashley at the front desk was simply amazing: warm, welcoming, friendly and incredibly helpful. When we checked in, she made a point to alert us that there was "an event happening in the restaurant below us, that may make some noise until mid-evening;" and then told us to let her know if it was bothersome at all (which it wasn't). When my wife mentioned (in passing) her pet allergies (it's an animal-friendly hotel), Ashley immediately commiserated - noting HER allergies, and encouraged us to let us know if there was ANY problem at all with our room (there wasn't). This kind of service, kindness, and personal attentiveness simply doesn't happen any more! The rooms themselves are GREAT. The downtown Riverwalk is a pretty happening locale these days - but the in room heat unit allows for a constant fan that creates a comforting white noise, blanketing any street noise that might otherwise interfere with sleep. Speaking of sleep, the beds are AWESOME - I rarely sleep well in hotels, but had a GREAT night's sleep. And the shower is huge with excellent water pressure. All in all, a truly first-rate hotel experience - one of the best we've had. Thank you Ashley - and everyone at Indigo - for making us feel so at home!! :-)”

“Mostly everything is great except the breakfast and the Internet. The breakfast buffet actually costs money, but it's the exact same products and quality as every other holiday inn's free breakfast buffet. No one would spend $13 on cold boxed watery scrambled eggs. The Internet is so slow that I had to download my 1 page word document from one drive because it kept disconnecting and I couldn't edit it. That download also took over 20 minutes! Aside from that, the rooms are clean, the entrance is nice and grand, there is ample parking, the staff are super nice, and the location is convenient.”

“We had a lovely weekend. The upgrade to a junior suite added to the comfort in our dog friendly room. Clean and modern. The check-in staff, the door staff were so lovely and helpful. Ordered room service lunch. The prime burger and chicken sandwich were very good. Perfect French fries. Very quick and friendly restaurant staff. Hotel valet parking available, but since we did not need to use the car during our stay, we used SpotHero to reserve a spot with valet service. A bit cheaper. Washington Square is an easy two blocks away to take the dogs out. Pretty quiet, safe neighborhood feel. We will definitely stay here in the future.”

“I have been a wine club member for many years and have NOT had a "bad" bottle or glass. We LOVE all the different types of wines. My family and I enjoy stopping in for a glass and also love the meat and cheese trays. They also offer great items to take home and give as gifts. My daughter recently got engaged on the property in Roselle and a HUGE shout out to Ryan for helping make it happen! The entire staff is very helping. My husband and I have even stayed in the B&B. The attention to detail in our Italian themed room was overwhelming. We are so lucky to have a gem like Lynfred is the suburbs!”

“I booked a corner suite and we stayed on the 22nd floor. Great views of the city! The room was essentially a studio apartment, so it was a bit small. It had a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, counter-top stove, microwave, toaster, and everything you need to prepare a full meal. I discovered the coffee maker was broken when trying to use it. This seems to be a theme with Hilton hotels. Leaving broken appliances in the rooms for guests to frustrate over. There was a half drank bottle of water between the bed and nightstand, not ours, housekeeping missed it between prior cleanings. Not that big of a deal. It could have been worse, like left over food. All hotel staff we encountered were friendly. Breakfast was included with our stay. Parking could not have been easier as the garage is the first 3 floors of the hotel. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and are planning a trip back (with the kids next time).”

“We have been staying in this hotel for decades. The manager is extremely customer centric And that philosophy is instilled in all the staff. They renovate this hotel frequently so it never looks worn. They do a nice job with a self-serve breakfast which is really convenient when you have your kids and grandkids along. They have a heated indoor pool also, which is nice when you have down time. And being right on Dirksen, it's easy to get to, and convenient to part from for activities in the Springfield area. We highly recommend staying here If you are looking for a hotel for a fair price, that is always clean.”
