“Oh my god the pancakes were so good, I still crave some. The place was very cosy and compact and we got the last table outside. So go early, because people who came after us waited for tables :) the service is nice and fast though. Great location, great ambiance, great food. Will go again next time I’m in Zurich.”

“Our family of 4 had a great stay at Adler Hotel recently. We had a junior suite room with a sofa bed which our 10 and 12 year old kids shared. The room had a little balcony overlooking the square and was whisper quiet overnight. The whole place was very clean, staff were extremely friendly and the kids loved patting Louie the dog in the lobby- plus the chocolates! The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been a slightly larger breakfast offering eg a few more cereals. We would stay here again and would recommend the location.”

“Such a unique hotel! Look for the painting of a cat, high on a ledge, on the front of the building. The staff is wonderful. Perhaps they will tell you the story of the cat. The rooms a so beautifully decorated and each unique! Here they have a bar with over 600 types of bourbon! Great central location!”

“Beautiful old building. Rooms are small but beautiful. Comfortable beds, well stocked bathrooms. Great service from the front desk. We did not get a chance to try the restaurant or bar, but the bar looked gorgeous. The location is great. Right next to a metro stop, easy walking distance to the train station and a very easy walk to major shopping and attractions. I highly recommend this hotel”

“Small but nice and cozy hotel in the centre of Zürich's oldtown. I stayed here for a couple of times, so I can whole heartedly recommend this accommodation. Rooms are well equipped, the bathroom is super clean and the beds are also comfortable. I really liked the breakfast and the great hospitality of the staff.”

“Very disappointing… the rooms are not the same as in the pictures. The room that we booked was absolutely not big enough for 2 people, it was also not possible to charge a laptop or anything like that. We checked another room, for which we of course had to pay much more per night, but that room was not better at all, it was actually quite creepy. All rooms are super noisy, so you woke up very early when someone walked through the hallway, as if they were standing in your room. We also felt a bit ripped off. We were first in a public parking garage, which cost 45 Francs per 24 hours, later (with great difficulty) we were in a parking space that belonged to the hotel. We had to pay 50 Francs per 24 hours for this, while we later saw that the website indicated 40 Francs. As a foreigner you are not received warmly and we got the feeling that we were being treated less favorably. Not friendly service, very cold. In any case, we felt anything but welcome. Pity. We were glad we left after 2 nights.”

“Nice hotel in downtown Zurich. About a 10 minute walk to the train station and popular Old Town. Rooms were nice and pretty modern. Water and umbrellas are provided in case you need them. Daily breakfast is included which was great. There are plenty of options (eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries) and also an expresso machine. Only downside is the bar service. They don't take initiative to take your drink order, even if you're sitting at a table and obviously looking at the menu wanting to order.”

“I'm truly not a picky traveller, but given the price point compared to other hotels in the area, this was a disappointing stay. Rooms are quite small and there isn't much space to store clothes or any belongings. No safe. My first room was also missing curtains (but the lovely staff were happy to move me), and in the second the shutters didn't work. Air conditioning was extremely dusty and left me feeling hay fever irritated/sneezing and it made the room feel dirtier. When left on for a while, it also leaked so much there was a puddle on the floor. Windows not opening means there is always a stuffy air to the room, and air con can only be adjusted by 3 degrees, so it's often too warm also. And finally, the aircon resets every day (I understand your logic for new guests but as longer staying guests this is incredibly annoying) so you always come back to a hot, dusty room. Bathroom was very clean and pleasant - shower very hot and powerful. Breakfast doesn't seem to have a minimum variety for dietary differences. The only vegan option was bread, there was no dairy alternative milks. The offering was fine, but given the price it was disappointing. I will shout out that the staff were helpful and friendly.”

“Completely not matching pictures and overview! Door in bathroom wasn’t working, H/C water difficult to adjust! Elevator was out of order, while we stay on 3rd level! Breakfast very poor, if you came after others, you’ll miss cold fish and meat and no one top up it! Outside parking for 30£ per night. Price like for 4*, but reality for 2*!”

“We were booked into Olympia Hotel but got moved to here. Definitely a higher price to where we stayed but we didn't pay extra as we were moved by where we booked originally. Nice place to stay. Had a complimentary mini bar fridge with a few soft drinks in it as well as coffee and tea. Bath was a nice bonus as well as having a courtyard balcony view. Nice place to stay. Little bit of a walk to the train station but relatively central.”

“Really great location only 10 minutes on a tram to the centre of Zurich. The tram is either at the end of the road or in the other side of the hotel…depends on which way you go. In Pulp 5 (I think it’s called) on the other side of the road, you can find a COOP, restaurant, kiosk and Gym along with a few other businesses. If you walk through Pulp 5, there is another popular supermarket and a Pizza shop. The rooms were really clean and tidy and made up everyday. Our room overlooked a busy road and it can get a little noisy at night unless you close the window. I didn’t really notice as I’m a heavy sleeper but the wife did mention it a few times. The staff are really helpful and friendly. We were able to leave our luggage in a locked room due to arriving at the hotel too early. We chose this opportunity to pop into the city and check in later in the day. We stayed for 4 nights and had breakfast included every morning. They pretty much cover all bases with a nice selection of bread, fruit, yogurt, meat, cereal, bacon, egg. They did have a small pancake machine which worked the first day but not the rest of the week. Tea, coffee and fruit juice available. If I went back to Zurich I would definitely use this hotel again.”

“Absolutely lovely place! Location was perfect, right in the middle of Old Town. It was also quiet. Room was lovely--roomy, nice desk, bathroom with long shelf was perfect. The decor was clean, bright and inviting. The heated bathroom floor! The front desk woman was professional, helpful, friendly---she was a gem! I would definitely return. Thank you Hotel Rössli for being the perfect place for me.”

“Great location! It is close to the Zurich HB Station (which is the main station and also where you can ride to and from the airport). Also, Niederdorfstrasse (shopping and food) street is right behind the hotel; super easy and interesting to walk around. The property is also close to the river. Room is nice and modern - but the air conditioner is confusing to use. It’s not very strong either, so it gets hot at night; we ended up opening the window for a while. Room is cleaned everyday, towels changed as well. I just wish they provided hotel slippers and gave us a room with a better view. Front desk staff is nice and thoughtful. They even placed a heart on our bed since we mentioned it’s our honeymoon. Overall a great choice for a short stay! Will recommend to others.”

Nice rooms with a modern design, although a bit small and with no fridge or safe. The self-service laundry room with two washing machines and two dryers was useful. It even has a decent gym, which was unexpected for a three star hotel!”

“Hotel staff were excellent and did their very best for our group. Their command of English was very good as well which made us lazy so we didn't use our German very much. The room was very comfortable and the WiFi good but a bit slow. The evening menu in the restaurant was a bit limited and relatively expensive so I would not use that again.”

“Good location, 10 min walk from the old town, museums, and station. No street noise which is great considering a main road and tram stop are just outside. Excellent and friendly staff, including the people at the front desk and the woman preparing and tidying up breakfast. There was a queue at check-in so we were given complimentary ice creams while we waited. The room was decent - spacious, good view, air con, contained all the essentials - but the towels were a bit small and the decor was very plain.”

“What an amazing hotel in Zurich. There was a festival that days and it was still cheap. Really good breakfast even if it looks simple you have croissants, fruits, nutella, yogurt, cereals, eggs and more. I just missed bacon, and pancakes. It is not expensive and is easy to make. The guy pf the entrance was suuper open and simpatisch. The hotel is close to centre but I would say that is not a good location if you have kids, because there are things at night that your kid shouldn’t watch. If you’re an adult and you’re looking for something cheap but without renouncing quality, this is your best choice. I will come back and next time I want to see bacon! Continue like that, excellent treatment and place, loved it”
