45 W North St, Bethlehem, PA 18018, United States

“Everything about this hotel exceeded expectations. The location is very convenient for walking into town. We visited the area for Christkindlmarkt and it was a short drive from there. We used the garage across the street for the $10 overnight parking and had no issues. The room was surprisingly large and plenty of room for 4 of us to stretch out. Everything looked clean. The free breakfast was very nice and convenient. Every staff person we came across during our stay was approachable and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.”

“I was pleasantly surprised with everything. The rooms were very clean.. the beds were big. There was a fridge and microwave. Plenty of towels. Ice and vending was close. And the service was great. When I went to leave that morning there was breakfast and the nice lady went out of her way to get me foil for my sandwich to go when she didn't have to. The price was reasonable and I would definitely stay again.”

“We had stayed at the Sayre several times in the past for christmas; last time was close to 15 years ago. We've been fortunate enough to stay in the top floor Conservatory, which is magical. We returned this past Christmas for 3 nights and were so pleased with our stay. The Mansion, staff, breakfast, sitting room and of course the Conservatory were outstanding. Everything contributed to a perfect Christmas.”

Hilton Garden Inn Allentown Bethlehem Airport

“The staff were absolutely wonderful. It was one of the cleanest hotels I was ever in. With that said everything was broken. The selling point was a pool and a hot tub. The pool heater was broken and it was ice cold. The hot tub was almost black it was so dirty. After playing in the snow we looked forward to Coming in to get hot showers but found Out there was no water.... A hotel is supposed to be convenient and this was anything but. Also the free breakfast was not actually free. It's just a long picnic table in the foyer. And that's pretty much it for sixteen dollars a person. No discounts or credits were offered to us.... which was disappointing. You would think staying at a HILTON... these type of issues would be limited. Whoever is in charge of maintaining the building needs to do better. The pool and hot tub were a total disgrace, disgusting.”

Four Points By Sheraton Allentown Lehigh Valley

3712 Hamilton Blvd, Allentown, PA 18103, United States

“I'm all about the little things. Today I checked in there were complimentary fresh baked chocolate chip cookies coming out of the oven for guests for the holidays. The staff is always warm and welcoming. And if you want to catch a great sunset, you just have to step outside and look to the left. Right in front of you is a great view of Dorney Park. There is a restaurant on site. 24-hour fitness center. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bed was super comfortable. Mini fridge in room, desk and all the essential toiletries provided. Indoor pool. Complimentary coffee! The Four Points Sheraton is close to the Lehigh Valley Airport. And there's a gas station right up the block. When you're a business traveler. All of these things mean so much. This is my hotel of choice when I'm in the Lehigh Valley on business.”

“I called the hotel directly to book with them, didn't use any third party, so I was talking to someone actually employed by the hotel. This hotel charges for breakfast, but the rate with breakfast that the phone rep quoted was just $12 more than without. And the website said it's a full hot breakfast, so we thought that was a pretty good deal. I told them we were bringing our dog, and the rep asked how large. I said about 13 pounds, and she said for that weight they wouldn't charge us, it's only for larger dogs. We arrived to check-in late and weary. Found out our assigned room was NOT the room type the phone rep CONFIRMED over the phone with me, breakfast was NOT included in the price quoted on the phone and we most definitely WOULD be charged for the dog, $75. Breakfast would be $15 PER GUEST and it's a continental breakfast. So we passed on that. When I made the reservation, I signed up for the Hilton rewards program. The phone rep told me about some of the perks, including the free bottled water in the room, which was a welcome treat after we'd been driving for so long. There was a sign on the bottles that said it's a $2 fee per bottle for a certain tier of membership, not a new rewards member.) Our coffee station looked like it had not been restocked from the previous guest (only 1 cup, no sugar, 2 packets of tea, no coffee). At check-out, which I did in person at the desk, the clerk said she would have to have my final receipt emailed to me, could not provide it onsite. So on our drive home I opened my email and saw the receipt. There's a $3.87 "Parking Recapture Fee", which was never disclosed at any point, by the phone rep or the clerk either at check-in or check-out. Some digging online told me that this fee is charged to everyone, whether they park onsite or not, and other hotels charge it as well, and if an establishment does disclose the fee, it is in very fine print. Well, at least the stay was relaxing and we could take advantage of the hot soak in the heated spa? Nope, that was out of order during our visit. We travel a couple times a month and Hilton's now off our list. Stay away.”

The Americus Hotel, Trademark Collection By Wyndham

555 Hamilton St, Allentown, PA 18101, United States

“We recently hosted our wedding reception at the Americus Hotel, accompanied by a room block of 20+ guests. Our reception was phenomenal. Our wedding coordinator needed to cancel last minute, but fortunately, the Americus’s staff was more than happy and eager to jump in and help us with the entire setup of the reception decor without us even needing to ask. Both the General Manager and the Rooms Manager were awesome to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. The wait staff at the Americus is immaculate. We have had multiple meals at their restaurant - holiday meals, brunch, menu tasting, dinners, etc. - and every time, the wait staff has been very respectful and a delight to speak with. Their service has been exceptional, and the quality of meals top notch. Hotel rooms were clean and proper. Well worth the price. We will definitely be returning for anniversary stays!”

“This place is a gem in that it has a bar, restaurant, pool and fitness center at such an incredible price! This Holiday Inn used to be a Wyndham property. The design throughout the hotel lobby, and the rooms are chic and updated. The staff are inviting and a bit loose… meaning that they’re more fun to hang around them rather than being the type that’s always waiting on you hand and foot. I guess that can be good and bad. Front desk personnel was always inviting, helpful and professional, though. The food at the restaurant was great. I do recommend the American burger 🍔 for dinner or lunch and the breakfast bowl in the morning. OK now to the nitty-gritty: You have to understand that you were experience can also be based a lot on the type of guest that come in and out of that place. Since this was such a great place to be at at its price point, I stayed there for about five days on and off. During those times, there was not one day that I did not smell marijuana in the halls. This ruined my experience at this gem of a hotel. 😒 Though I would love to return I doubt that I will. However, if this is your crowd, then this is your spot. It’s hip and I do find the younger crowd gravitating to this place. It’s really not bad if you can over look the marijuana thing.”
