“It was our first time staying at West Wind Island Resort. My husband, myself, and our elderly Jack Russell Terrier. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was a bit firm for my liking but the room was clean and comfortable. We had a room facing the pool and the glass doors leading out to the patio did a great job of blocking out any noise from the pool and bar area. It was nice and quiet. The check in/ check out processes were easy and fast. The proximity to the beach s perfect. Beautiful clean beach. Although the restaurant on property was closed due to a fire, the food truck food was pretty tasty. The food truck is parked in the back parking lot. You order food from the pool bar and they walk to the food truck to pickup and deliver to you. All in all we were happy with our accommodations and the close proximity to the beach and to restaurants and shops. We would return.”

“Just weird. We were on the second floor and periodically heard a loud banging sound, like someone hammering metal. The same sound woke me up about 11:30pm. When I called the front desk he told me that yes, he heard the sound and that it was the dishwasher (maybe he meant a washing machine) banging on a pipe and that other rooms had called to complain. He asked if we wanted to change rooms and I said I just wanted them to turn the machine off. No apologies were made and he seemed annoyed. He thought they were “probably” done running the “dishwasher.” So the hotel employees knew the racket they were making and decided to just make it anyway. At after 11:00pm. This was just the major issue. There were others. Just weird to stay at a Hilton hotel and have this kind of thing. My advice is avoid this particular hotel.”

“Rooms were clean, location was good, service was shotty, mainly due to the fact that they're so-called "concierge" didn't speak English enough to understand that there was smoke on the fourth floor and it smelled like something was burning....toilets did not flush, old and burnt coffee in the lobby. The morning and when I went to check out the girl at the desk was so busy playing on her phone that I had to ask for her attention 3 times before she realized that I was 2 ft from her. This is not a place I would return even though I was informed put the smell and smoke were caused by the welding in the staircase that they were doing...no apology or attempt to remedy the horrible night we spent there...we were told they had no more rooms and could not refund us but that we were welcome to use the bathroom in the lobby.”

“We were visiting from Orlando and had a great stay! Nancy and Joan were amazing at check in and check out. Very warm and accommodating. The rest of the staff were very friendly as well. Our room was very clean, beds were comfortable and the area is quiet so we slept very well. This is a great location because it is close to a lot of restaurants and the malls are not too far away either. We will definitely come back to stay the next time we are in Fort Myers!”

“Rooms were bright, clean, and very spacious. My only complaint about the room was the shower drain drained at a snails pace, showering was disgusting as the water would pool up at your feet. Also after giving the kids a bath it took like 30 minutes for the water to fully drain. Check-in went mostly smoothly although I didn't feel very welcomed by the employee, she felt a little cold but wasn't rude. The parking lot feels a little small, but we were able to secure parking. The pool area is beautiful, albeit the water was cold. The cold didn't bother the kids, I just wish more places down here had Jacuzzis (hot tubs)... Especially seeing as the weather has been colder than normal. The morning breakfast was a typical continental breakfast with ample supply. It was a nice big area for dishing up so it didn't feel congested, however I could see the actual seating area becoming congested rather fast. The hotel felt clean and new, although the price definitely felt high for what we got but that seems to be the case everywhere in Florida outside of Orlando. Overall my experience was a positive one. While in the area I recommend checking out the Manatee Park, which is about a 15 minute drive from here, and also the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve.”

Check in was smooth, even at night without any reservations. In the morning they have a breakfast spread and not every day is the same, so don't miss. The pool is heated. It's right on the tram, trolley and bus line. Right behind a Super Walmart. Super ideal for Holiday weekends.”

“I'm very disappointed with this hotel. I made my reservation for 12/8-12/10. My husband and I came for my cousin's surprise birthday party. We checked in 12/8 it was cold that weekend and when we entered the room it was freezing, my husband turned on the heat but the room wouldn't get warm. My husband went to the front desk to advise the clerk and she said we don't have any other rooms available and my manager is aware. My slept in our clothes. The next morning my husband and I went to eat breakfast and when we came back the room was still cold. My husband went back to the front desk, this clerk was helpful, she had someone bring us a heater. My husband and I left for the party that started at 3 and when we returned a little after 8pm, the heater didn't work. My husband and I decided to check out. I have a history of pneumonia and I wasn't able to stay in those conditions. We explained to the clerk what happened, she apologized and advised we wouldn't be charged for 2 nights $278. 98 and printed a receipt for $139. 39. A few weeks later, I see my credit card statement and I was charged the full amount. I called the hotel for 2 weeks requesting a manager and was told to call back in the morning when the manager was there. I called corporate and was advised to call the hotel. I tried to dispute it with my credit card company but they replied saying the charge was valid because I left after 8. The issue I have, is that's not what I was told and I was never able to speak to a manager in regards to this issue. I have never stayed at the Comfort Inn and never will again. The customer service, the rooms, and the cleaniness was unacceptable. I have never experienced such rude and unprofessionalism in my life. I never leave a review, but I wanted to make people aware who are traveling and in the area. Tamara”
