“The room looked better in the pictures on their website. It could seriously use some upgrades, everything seemed a bit old and tired. No A/C but just a fan, so it was very hot all the time. Barely any facilities in the room itself, but you can get coffee at the reception. Food is pretty good though, good breakfast selection and some nice items on the dinner menu at reasonable prices. The staff was a bit hit or miss, some were very friendly and others rather stand-offish. The free parking and a bus stop in front of the hotel were the biggest plusses.”

“Had a fantastic stay at Hotel Stein in Salzburg! Its prime location in the city center allowed us to stroll to almost every hotspot within minutes. The proximity to the river provided a delightful view. Unlike previous hotels, this one went the extra mile by providing shower gel, hair shampoo, conditioner, hand & body lotion, and hand soap, a thoughtful touch. Upon arrival, the porter's assistance with our luggage set a welcoming tone and also provided us with some warm towels at a cold winter day. The reception team was quick to respond to our needs, delivering a kettle, spoons, and slippers within 10 minutes of our call. The attention to detail and prompt service made our stay truly enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel for both its convenience and thoughtful amenities.”

“Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The most noteworthy thing about it is the staff. I was working from the lobby most of the time and often they come with water or replenish the water they had already provided me. I’ve never seen such dedication to the convenience of guests before. The room was pretty neat and tidy and the place is in the heart of the city and yet quiet and has a good atmosphere. Price is a little bit sore though but I can bet it’s a good value in comparison to other hotels.”

“This hotel is in traditional style and we really enjoyed it. Their room keys are still actual keys and the rooms have traditional style wood furniture but still had a modern cabin vibe. By the way, they have replica keys for purchase, very cute item to remind you of your trip. The bathroom was beautiful and room size was great. Their breakfast was delicious and the staff here were all very kind. It is located right in the center of all the shops and restaurants and walking distance to everything.”

“We had a wonderful time here. The room was spacious and beautiful with a very comfortable bed. The sofa easily accomodates a 3rd guest if needed. The room was super clean with A/C and electric shutters. The staff was very nice and the dinner we had in their restaurant was exceptional. The hotel is located near the train station (10 min. walk or 2 bus stops) which is super convenient. Downtown can be easily reached by bus (15 min ride).”

“Location pretty good. Short walk from train station and near the bus stop which goes to downtown. Traveling is v convenient. Bought my Salzburg card from them (: There’s microwave for u to use. Complimentary gluhwein is a nice touch. I booked the double room w private toilet, it was great. Only downside is that there’s no lift. So u carry ur own bags up. Not much of a trouble for me but may be a problem for some people. So do take note. Lovely staff. Had a great stay there.”

“Nice accommodations and the beds were comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating to offer advice. They had lockers available at the door to store luggage after check out. Being Canadian we prefer cooler rooms. We found the room a little warm. The air conditioner was regulated in the room. Public transit was available out front of the hotel. We were able to access the city easily from the hotels location.”

“A little disappointed by this hotel. The hotel has two buildings with two different sets of rooms. We couldn’t find our building and the receptionist was annoyed at us for asking where our building was. We got to the room and 1 out of 2 keys didn’t work. We also requested a double bed and had 2 single beds. In the morning when we wanted to use the gym, it was in the other building which we didn’t have swipe access to. This then became our fault when asking reception to fix the error because “well you are in the other building”. We then were given 3 different keys, none of which gave us access to the gym, so after being walked to the gym by one of the staff, when we came back to our room none of our now 4 keys worked to open our room and we had to go back to reception. After getting to breakfast we realised that it was NOTHING like the photos. Minimal food and almost all the fruit was over or under ripe. I will never come back. I will comment though it’s fairly close to town about 1.5km and the hotel itself is beautiful. Just lots of room for improvement.”

“The most I like and love in the hotel is the staff. They are very friendly. Whenever I have any questions or issues, they immediately helped me and answered me. Also, when I asked for kids activities, they provided me all required help such as maps, advices, transportation tickets and schedules … etc. I love their offerings bicycles per hour and you will enjoy the riding around the area. They have daily special dessert cooked by them, it is very delicious. Just a minor thing, if people cannot sleep without AC, they will suffer little bit in the hotel, because there is no AC. But, the hotel provides electric fan for each room. Overall our stay was excellent. Thank You very much Christopher for all support and your entire team.”
