“We loved our stay at Kaamala Resort. Firstly, the staff, they greet you warmly every time you enter/exit the resort, nothing is too much trouble for them. They give you a welcome drink upon arrival and because my partner loved it so much they gave us one nearly every time we walked through the lobby. The in house restaurant overlooks the infinity pool, with multiple places to relax. We booked through Luxury Escapes which included breakfasts and even a massage each. The massage was the best of my life, as someone who is never satisfied after a massage as they do not press hard enough I couldn't fault the massage I received here. If you are considering getting married they have a beautiful chapel on the rooftop which would work wonderfully for anyone considering a wedding in Bali. Overall a fantastic stay, beautiful facilities, staff, and rooms.”

“Absolutely beautiful place. Bath was wonderful (with ample hot water, which isn't true everywhere in Bali!). Staff and service is very good as well. The pool was warm and had a fantastic view, and the food in the restaurant is pretty good. Internet works well, as does the air conditioning. The room is spacious and hasovely architecture. I'd just warn that the noise isolation between rooms is not great so you are a bit at the mercy of your neighbours (and unfortunately for me, mine were talking and laughing loudly until 3am) - but I could have complained to the hotel and I choose not to and just used the provided ear plugs.”

“Second time to stay at the Tjampuhan Hotel & Spa in Ubud. This Hotel is set in a gorgeous, quiet part of Ubud. Easy walk into central Ubud with ease. Hotel staff are always available to help with any request. Breakfast was plentiful and a great variety on offer. Dinner, lunch and snack menu had many options and what a setting to sit and eat. Scattered throughout the Hotel there were many little spots to sit and enjoy the stunning view over the river. Both pools are nestled into the lush grounds of the Hotel and are a wonderful setting to sit and enjoy the heat of Ubud. We were in the Pura rooms area of the Hotel. The room was large with plenty of space, although this room could definitely do with some updating. This did not deter though from our wonderful stay at this hotel. Will definitely return again.”

You find a lot of options there; the spa is not within the hotel, but you can rent a scooter opposite the hotel; and laundry is outside the resort. “Our stay at Desa Swan was amazing. From airport pickup, room service, restaurant food and service were all 5 star. The location was a little out of the Bali bustle which was perfect to unwind at your private pool and beautifully landscaped gardens after a big day of activities. Our villa was about 150m away from the beach front restaurant. Their buffet breakfast were delicious and their dinner menus equally good. Not to mention their happy hours of yummy cocktails. Words can’t really describe how much my wife and I loved our stay at the villas. We stayed for two weeks but could have happily stayed for another 2 months. I couldn’t fault anything. The staff that made it all possible are beautiful humble people. I even had a medical flare up and had to be rushed to hospital the concierge sent down a driver and shuttle and had me at a lovely hospital in about 5 minutes. You won’t regret staying at these villas, enjoy their expert spa packages. If you want the party life then closer to Kuta you may prefer, if you want to unwind and relax then this place will not disappoint.”

After Coco, traffic gets REALLY bad so you may literally spend 20 mins in the car for 200 meters that you could do on foot within 3 minutes.”
