“My brother died one year ago. I had to cancel my trip in the Netherlands and managed to have a full reimbursement from a dozen of hotel. Except this one. De Rustende Jager charged the fully amount of my stay despite those tragic circumstances. One year after this event, I’m still shocked about that. Be sure I hadn’t forget. Your behavior is truly unethical and unprofessional.”

“Overpriced and try to make money off the smallest things... Extra money for luggage storage, a coffee, and even a tea bag. The staff is curt and don't even smile. They give forced-one-word answers. The room was not heated well enough and it was too cold to fall asleep. No extra blankets were provided. The dustbin wasn't cleared, so no idea if the room was cleaned. Although close to the airport, it's a level below if you take the bus. There is an unreliable lift. If one has luggage, this must be considered This is probably a European thing, but I just don't understand bathrooms with no doors. My roommate and I took turns to leave the room when the other had to use the loo.”

“I had a 12 hour layover and used the Mercure. Took me a moment to find it. Very friendly ladies helped me check in. Gave me some advice on finding dinner. Room was clean and very quiet. I was concerned about the bed linens. Completely unfounded, nice weight, soft and perfect temperature. It was a good night stay and I would recommend it to friends and family and will return. L”

“Beautiful room, with bathroom and toilet included (separate, as per Dutch tradition, which happens to be convenient if the room is shared). The TV is very easy to interact with through your phone, and though we didn't partake room service is available. The check-in was quick, painless and made pleasant by friendly staff. The room is easily accessible through an elevator. If your destination is Schiphol or Hoofddorp, it is in a very convenient location. However, the trip to Amsterdam is a bit longer, so if you hope to get into town from this hotel, make sure to budget in 30 to 45 minutes at the very least.”
