“What a beautiful place to visit. the lodge was bigger than we anticipated and spec of it was without fault. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and parking was directly outside. The site was very tidy, brilliantly quiet (apart from the birds in the morning), and the staff were all lovely. They were especially helpful with directions for the best way to get into town via the park and ride. The location was also very convenient for access to amenities outside of the park. Overall it was a great stay and we have already recommended it to friends and family.”

“Wow! What a fantastic place for a girlie spa break. Magical feels upon arrival driving through the lit up trees. Wonderfully warm greeting upon arrival with ample car charging ports. Our room was spacious and well maintained. The pic n mix at every turn was a lovely touch. The spa was very peaceful and well maintained. Breakfast was sumptuous. Service marked down purely because a staff member walked into our room without knocking or waiting for an answer and we were both in our towels post showering. Definitely the only bad part of our stay.”

“Can't rate the rooms as we didn't see them or stay there. We were there to celebrate a birthday, just a get together with family and a meal. On this particular occasion we ordered the fish with chunky chips and crushed peas. Sadly the fish was saturated in fat/oil which ruined the meal. I didn't want to embarrass the family by complaining so I just ate what I could. We're unlikely to eat there again.”

“Had a good stay in this hotel with my partner and her parents before Christmas. No problem with room facility and even received a goody bag with snacks from very friendly staff at reception. The hotel is at a convenient location, close to the very city center but also enjoying the quietness. On the downside, 11am to check-out seems to be fine, but 4pm to check-in is probability the latest one I have ever come across. We arrived at around 2:40pm on the day, and were told to drop languages at reception and come back in one hour or so to check in. Other issue, there was no fried egg in breakfast, only boiled egg and scrambled egg available, not sure that's only by accident on the day or regular issue, not a big issue though but just thought fried egg was a routinely available option elsewhere.”

“This evening we enjoyed lovely Sunday meals, very pleasant spacious restaurant next to the race course, softly lit, very relaxing environment. The meals were plentiful and well presented. I had roast chicken, opting for the gluten free version. It comes with delicious sweet potato mash and roast parsnip as well as roast potato, the chicken was free range (good to know, there's often no information about the meat in restaurants) and was delicious. From a good range of deserts we all opted for the gluten free brownies, again good portions and utterly delicious. Friendly attentive waitress, no long wait to be served, comfortable seating. A very pleasant experience.”
