“This hotel is fabulous and worth every penny. I felt so pampered and well taken care of the entire stay. Valet parking is amazingly efficient and courteous. Housekeeping is absolutely wonderful. The restaurants on the premises and across the street at the standard Marriott were outstanding with delicious food and impeccable service. The spa is heavenly. The location is just perfect as well. It's a nice area that is steps away from the Riverwalk. The only negative thing I can say is that, to me, the mattress was hard as a brick. However, I completely understand that hotels buy firmer mattresses because they last longer so, although not as comfortable sleeping as I could have been, I was OK with it. Will absolutely be back to stay at this outstanding hotel.”

“We really enjoyed staying in this hotel. I was a little hesitant because of the reviews. In fact, I warned my son and husband that it would be loud especially because we were there over New Year’s Eve. I couldn’t believe how quiet our room was and how much we liked the room. The mattress, pillows, towels were all very nice. We didn’t use the valet as it seemed really expensive, so we parked our car in the garage across from the surface lot. The garage charges $12 per day. We got drinks at the bar and were a little surprised to see a “credit card recovery fee”. The drinks at the bar are pricey enough, why are they acting like a small town gas station and charging a credit card fee. That is the price of doing business. Also, the bartenders didn’t seem very happy. Maybe everyone yelled at them about the fee. It was only $1.39. Doesn’t seem worth the bad will. We will definitely stay here again. I liked Ybor a lot as it has a nice small town feel. Tampa was also great but I am glad we didn’t stay downtown. I loved this location.”

“I could cover a lot here. The front desk staff was friendly as was everyone in the hotel. The cleaning staff in the room was so-so and didn't always do their best and didn't really seem to change anything. The pillows were horrible. Beyond horrible. The AC unit didn't always work well and sometimes it took 12 hours to get the temp to what I set it at. The unit was very loud and would kind of go on and off, even with the fan set to high. The curtains were an inch too short so the sun came in during the morning. The hotel overall was dated. The breakfast people stack the trash in the hall. The workout room 1st time I went was dirty. Next visit had no towels. It is a small workout area with very dated things. Location is good so another positive. The parking lot is a cut through for some uber drivers and they hangout around there, sometimes even smoking out back. Many nights they allow people to go through and shove a menu under your door, which raises security questions and no thanks I don't like having to clean up that trash too. My room was just dated in other ways too and the bathroom had a musty/moldy smell the whole time. Overall, it's a dated property that probably shouldn't be a Hyatt. I wouldn't stay again. Good location and friendly staff, but just not clean, dated, and yeah...Also, slow elevators and there was some drink spilled in the stairs that remained for a week. Again, they don't clean too well”

“The place is underconstruction from my understanding! It was foggy and dingy! So far, it is one of the worst hotels I have stayed in! The staff members gave great customer service. The hotel more definitely needs to be remodeled. The furniture was old and wore out. The price for the room was overpriced. Most Comfort suites I have lived in were superb! Taking pride in your property means everything to me because this is my money I am spending on your merchandise.”

“Quality has gone down tremendously since they first opened. I’ve stayed at the Hyatt House at Avion Park several times now. I’ve always had a good experience until my last visit. I was disappointed in the customer service with one particular front-desk employee - middle aged Asian lady. I now see the wear and tear on the once new rooms; I had to make two maintenance requests to repair issues in my room for things that didn’t work properly. Also, housekeeping was requested one day to clean and they never came. This used to be my go-to hotel while in town - now I’ll be looking for other options.”

“We were scheduled to stay two nights, but due to unforeseen circumstances surrounding the closing of the sale of our home, we ended up staying 16 nights. We could have easily upgraded to another hotel because our expenses were covered, but we were so comfortable here, we decided to stay the whole time. The place is very clean (TOP priority for me), all the staff, including Jake, and everyone else I encountered were professional, pleasant, empathetic, accommodating, and went out of their way to ensure un-planned stay was as pleasant as possible. The free hot breakfast was great! LOVE the waffle bar!! Thank you for making an otherwise nightmare situation a pleasant one! Kudos to everyone at Residence Inn, Westshore, for a great job!”

“I stayed at this hotel over the weekend. The rooms are nice but the bathroom wasn’t clean properly. My boyfriend went to use the bathroom and when he lifted up the toilet seat the were poop stains on the toilet and in the toilet bowl and there was coffee stains in the sink. I went downstairs to let them know about the issues in the room. They offered to give another room but giving someone a different room is not going to solve the issues so I said no. I cleaned the poop off the toilet but I had no toilet brush to clean the toilet bowl. Front desk guy said he would call his manager to let her know but he never did. The next morning I called down front desk and was transferred to the manager who stated no one told her anything about the complaint. She said she would have someone come up to clean the bathroom but when I got back that night to the hotel there was still poop stains in the toilet bowl. When I come to a hotel all I want to have a clean toilet and nice bed I shouldn’t have to clean the things that should have been cleaned before I arrived.”

“This hotel ran smoothly and was clean. The beds were very comfortable. The young woman who checked us in wasn't all that helpful or friendly, but all the rest of the people we spoke with during our four-night stay were helpful and friendly. The original person we spoke with when we checked in did not recognize us as World of Hyatt members or offer the bottled water, etc., but the other people working the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We liked that they had a time period that they requested everyone keep quiet during the evening and morning hours!”

I loved that the flat screen swung out for better viewing. Everything was very clean. I used the gym and they had a lot of dumbbells in there including a bench and treadmills. “We stayed here for our trip to Busch gardens. The room was good. The big bed was good soft no problems. The sleeper couch definitely needs a new mattress it was a small word down mattress, which was great for my small kids, but I played on it as adult and was like nope not happening. I could feel the bars right through the mattress. Room was decent size as we had a kitchen, which was a nice touch to warm up left over food. There was plenty of parking and the women at the front desk were nice. The location is central to a lot of places it didn’t take us long to get around you would need a car or service to get anywhere. I would stay here again if I needed a trip back to that area.”
