“Stayed here for two weeks in our fifth wheel trailer. We loved this place. The staff is so very friendly. It is just a short walk and you are on the beach. They have activities. My wife attended a water color paint class. She enjoyed it very much. They have a small workout area with a machine, free weight barbells, a stationary bike and treadmill. This place is clean and quiet. We can't recommend it enough.”

“We stay in a lovely condo on the 3rd floor and can see the ocean from the front patio, plus it's a close walk to the beach. We always go late August through early November when it's still nice and warm, but not crowded. The office and maintenance staff are really nice!”

“First, I’ll say we had no issue with customer service like I’ve seen in the reviews. I have seen the responses from the owner and I was appalled from how the manager responds back to people so let’s see if I gets similar response. My honest review …. Check in, easy and host was very sweet and accommodating. After check in, we went to go check out our room. The room itself was just disgusting. Don’t walk barefoot as your feet will turn BLACK from dirt. We to make sure we were wearing shoes in and out of bed. It’s sticky and humid in the room from poor circulation. There was mold in the bathroom and tiles from the baseboards were coming loose probably from all the humidity. There was other peoples hairs scattered in the hotel, which isn’t pleasant to see - but maybe I just have an extra eye for it all as I am a SAHM so I clean a lot around the house. Good things: - if you forget something, they most likely have it up front. - breakfast is made with love, sweet lady in back loves her job and you can tell. So happy! - clean lobby. - employees that work there do there best to help guests. Cons - - room is not clean - elevator issues -pool has a possible sink hole issue”

“The staff on the reception desk and house keeping service were very friendly and helpful. They happily gave extra blankets, towels and toiletries for the fourth member in our party. The stay was very comfortable and quiet. The free breakfast was good. Some patches in room carpets can use a thorough cleaning but overall an ambient environment. Will definitely come back again in future.”

“I wanted to take the time to let you know about your exceptional staff we experiencd during our vacation from July 24-27. Every staff member at the Oasis pool from the desk staff to bar staff were fantastic but one named Phillip was truly exceptional. Every time we needed assistance he both willing and happy to do so. On one of our trips to the Oasis pool our son broke his swim goggles. Given that my son has both sensory and adjustment issues I knew I needed to get them replaced asap. I immediately asked Phillip where I could purchase new goggles. While he provided me with a recommendation he did even better and offered for us to borrow a pair from the lost and found. We ended up finding the exact same style as my son's prior pair. Phillip's generosity helped us avoid a complete meltdown and possible compromised morning. Finding exceptional people who go above and beyond is a rarity and should be recognized and rewarded. Please know what an amazing employee you have and do everything to retain him! Thank you again Phillip and Palmilla Beach Resort staff for an exceptional vacation!”

“This was a great hotel. Since I arrived I was greeted by the famous Nancy at the front desk and she was a delight. I had booked a 2 queen bed room because I did not see any one bed and she offered to upgrade me to a 1 king bed at no extra charge. She is very kind and knows a lot about the area when asked her for directions and suggestions. She does deserve a raise. The bed was so relaxing and the room is quiet and neat. The hotel cleans rooms everyday and the lobby area looks so calm and relaxing. The workout room and pool were clean and relaxing. Will definitely be booking my stay again in when in corpus.”

“NOW THIS IS MY KIND OF HOTEL!! The staff were friendly, the hotel was well lit, clean and the rooms were FABULOUS! Spacious, modern kitchens & bathrooms, and I loved the wallpaper on the walls. I wish I stayed here before I stayed at their other location on the south-side of town. Even the breakfast had way more options, they have a bar, free parking and it’s right across the street from the beach. My only critique is the laundry facilities should be able to accept credit/debit cards to use their machines. Other than that this place is SPECTACULAR! I will definitely come back and bring some friends!!”

“If I could give this place no stars I would trashy smelled like marijuana in the room when I got there. nobody was there to switch my rooms instead when I checked out the manager Dash owner person was very rude to me told me she was keeping my deposit because the room smelled like marijuana. I informed her it does not smell like marijuana. nobody smokes, marijuana and she said oh well I’m keeping your deposit. Please leave my property. Worst experience of my life I stay and plenty of hotels no problem usually five star hotels I stayed here because it was a cheap easy place to stay for the night to rest my head while working in town.”

“Clean and cold room with ample space, decent pool in good shape, friendly staff, and breakfast included. Great value for the price. Note that the walk to the beach isn't terrific but it's doable. There's also a gas station real close by for refills and ice. Pizza place is close by too for easy takeout or delivery. Thankfully the pool closed at 10 or it would have been a little loud for the several families with kids.”

“This is easily the CLEANEST motel room we've ever stayed in, and larger than one would expect for the price with a sofa and small table. The toiletry products are decent quality, too, not the garbage you get at other motels. The bed was firm and comfortable, but it rattles a little (🫣 Oops! Sorry, room 112!). Hubby didn't care for the pillows, but at least there were four of them on the bed. Staff were all friendly on the phone and in-person. Highly recommend the Captain's Quarters.”

“Got charged for smoking in the room. After multiple attempts to get in contact with the manager. When I was finally able to and explained to the manager that I've never smoked in my life so it couldn't have been me, was told there's nothing they could do. I've stayed at this location 20+ times and stay in Choice/comfort hotels almost every day and have never been charged? Looks like LaQuinta has my business when I'm in town now 🤷‍♂️”
