“Large rooms, quite cold in winter; owner is clearly pretty cheap as heating is shutdown during the night. Owner also charged us for breaking a boiling pot in ceramic that was not securely attached to the boiling pot and very fragile, clearly he's a bit tired and cheap... Also 28euro for the spa per person is quite expensive as he pushes to limit it for only one hour per reservation. Could have been much better and clearly nothing has been done to the rooms for 20 years and the pillows are really not confortable. Cash machine for the owner. Not only is this a cash machine for a lazy owner but he LIES in his reply claiming we somehow "stained" with beer bottles (we don't drink beer, we actually bought 2 bottles of wine of them (what a mistake to encourage such crooks!). Tissues on the floor?He probably means towels left on the floor when leaving the room at the end of the stay as it's supposed to be done. We spent around 1k euro on this property in 5 nights which is expensive and the owner complains?? We left the room pristine, as clean as you can get, but resorting to lies only shows the type of fake smile character he really is (you'll see) This owner is really dishonest loser, clearly. Looking forward for his retirement as he's tired of people as he told us and it shows. Grumpy old man. sad. I would avoid this place!”

“Overall I would not recommend this hotel for a vacation, I am shocked that this hotel made it on the SLH list. It is very dated and overall does not have a feel for a 5 star hotel. We decided to cut our stay short and was told that we could cancel the stay due to us being unhappy. When we go to check out, they unexpectedly charged us $400 in cancel fees which is more than a nightly stay and very disappointing.”

“We were usual customers of the hotel and we received awful service by the staff and ESPECIALLY the manager SERGIO. Given the circumstances on the roads in France, they were completely blocked, we couldn’t make it to the hotel in time. We cancelled the reservation ahead of time knowing we wouldn’t be able to get there. When we contacted the hotel, the manager Sergio wouldn’t get on the phone while we were trying to explain the situation to them, stating he had nothing to say to us, through a staff member…INCREDIBLE! We asked for a refund on the booking or a rescheduling of the date, since we love Avignon, but it was impossible to talk to them about it. Thankfully there are other hotels there to experience the lovely Avignon. I don’t recommend going there, because if this is the way they treat a returning customer in a complicated situation, imagine an emergency at the hotel. It’s the perfect way to lose a customer in a situation where the whole of France was collapsed and all roads blocked.”
