“Let's start with the good. The location is great, right off of 395 and parking is plentiful. Great start! The mobile check in was seamless. The room size was great, the suite had the perfect set up for multiple families. 2 bedroom/2 bathrooms, large living area with pull out bed. Unfortunately, there were a lot of negatives. Upon entering the lobby at approximately 9pm, no one was at the front desk to greet guest, so we were unable to promptly locate the elevator. Once inside the elevator we noticed the trim was held together by scotch tape. After entering the room, I noticed the room was somewhat dated (no problem). The room cleanliness left a lot to be desired though. The restrooms had lint and dust in the corners, a random pill 💊 was found on the floor in the living area (major hazard). Hair was found in the sink, while showering the water drained showly causing water to sit. The supplies in the kitchen were almost empty and had clearly been used. It is clear this Homewood Suites cuts corners on cleaning. At approximately 9am, I went to the lobby to grab coffee and drop a bag off at the car. Upon returning to my room, a hotel staff member was standing at my door. She backed away as I walked up. She then asked if I was checking out today, I replied I was. She followed up by questioning how long it would be before I checked out. The checkout time was noon, the hotel was not crowded, and the do not disturb sign was posted on the door. I spend approximately 150 nights a year in Hilton brand hotels. I love Homewood Suites, but this one does not meet the standard!”

The banquet manager, Julio, and catering manager, Kylie, were like the dynamic duo of event planning. They worked tirelessly behind the scenes to coordinate every little detail, and not a single thing was overlooked. They were responsive, attentive, and simply a joy to work with. I can't recommend this venue enough. Not only because of the stunning setting, but because of the extraordinary hotel staff who truly made our wedding reception a night to remember.”

“The check in was fine and our first room was great. The second room we went to had a separate bedroom which was great. Upon looking over the room I noticed sum minor conditioning issues like torn piece of carpet and small tear on the couch but overall okay. One problem is that I stood at the front desk several times to never be helped even after ringing the bell.”

“We had a wonderful stay here. I can’t really say enough nice things about the staff. They were very accommodating for our family event and so pleasant every time I interacted with anyone, from the front desk to the shuttle drivers to housekeeping. The rooms are well-designed and quiet, and they have microwaves, refrigerators and a coffee center in each room. My room was cleaned between the first and second night, which was great. Not all hotels offer this any more. The only thing that surprised me was that guests were charged for drinking water. I found out that free filtered water was available in the fitness center so I used that. However, I think that water should be available in a more visible location, and preferably on every floor.”

And they even provided a shuttle service to Bull Run Winery for our guests. Front desk attendants were very friendly!”

“This location is quite difficult to access, especially during rush hour, as this is a high traffic area. There is lot of chipped paint in the public restrooms and general dilapidation in some areas and could be a little cleaner. The lobby sitting area furniture is fabric with stains and a guy with VERY sagging pants (wearing no underwear!) was frequenting the lobby. Oh Yuck! I kept that to myself, not wanting to create a situation. The desk clerk was very personable. Made good suggestions for restaurants and entertainment. The room itself was clean with a nicely updated bathroom. Surprisingly comfortable beds! and pillows! (not too hard like some places). The free breakfast is a plus.”

“10/28/23 I recommend taking the stairs as the elevator is small and takes a minute. The rooms are nice, but there were a few stains on the bed liners.
