“Had a wonderful experience staying at the Junction Hotel. My sister and I stayed in Room 1 and it was lovely! A generous sized room located in the heart of the Junction close to shops and other amenities. The staff were so very helpful and accommodating. I was concerned it may be a little noisy being above a pub and near a main thoroughfare but it was so quiet! Had dinner in the pub that last night we were there and it was delicious. Will definitely be going back!”

“Perfectly situated hotel right in the centre of Newcastle. Only a very short walk to the main station and light rail. Parking was easy and the buffet breakfast was excellent. The rooms were okay, and the service was exceptional. For a holiday it was great, and I'd imagine for a business trip it'd tick all of the boxes too. Thank you!”

“This is a review of the accommodation as we didn’t have a drink or eat there. Nice rooms, clean, good aircon and very comfortable bed. Shared bathrooms were clean, showers hot with great water pressure. Staff were great and really helpful. The location is good too. My only suggestion is to add hand towels or dryers in the bathroom.”

Living Room was an odd shape but spacious! Have recommend this hotel to my parents for when they come to Newcastle again. Will definitely be returning here!”

“I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at The Bennett Hotel in Hamilton today. The 250g Black Angus rump steak was cooked to perfection, accompanied by golden chips, flavourful coleslaw, and a delectable savoury pepper sauce. The lemon, lime, and bitters drink was a refreshing delight. The culinary journey concluded with an outstanding pineapple parfait dessert, now my favorite anywhere. Exceptional meal, impeccable service – an overall fantastic experience!”

“While this place is not the Ritz, it's got everything you need, and it's pretty comfortable. The staff were great, and there were some nightly activities laid on. You could also borrow bikes and surf boards. The only downside for us was that we were right at one end of the building, and there was only one male bathroom on our floor right at the other end. Quite a way and not ideal during the night.”

The new, very comfortable bed and rain shower were added bonuses, as was breakfast in my room. “Besides the location, everything is terrible about this hotel. Even though the prices are fair, there is no communication with any manager of the hotel. They would not pick up the phone so we stood for an empty, closed hotel. The room itself was the worst i have ever experienced with a bunk bed that was completely unstable, falling apart and caused a safety concern. The bathrooms were dirty and not supplied with any toilet paper. The included breakfast was absolutely nonexistent, so dont count on that.”

“Worst pub in the area. Staff are rude and often try to short change you, the poker machines all of a sudden stop accepting the newer style bank notes if you're not doing big bets, I know people who've given the staff their phones to charge behind the bar and they "go missing" and the decor is terrible. The security guard they have working late on fridays and saturdays legitimately looks like some malnourished homless guy they've dragged of the street and dressed in a security uniform. I'm seriously surprised this place is even still operating, given how dodgy the place is. The pub is what I imagine purgatory to be like after you die and you're waiting to go to either heaven or hell. Avoid at all costs. Never again.”
