Epoque Hotel

Closed until 03:00 PM

Intrarea Aurora 17C, București 010213, Romania

“A beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Bucharest, I have stayed many times in the capital and this hotel is a wonderful tranquil location. A beautiful terrace enters into a stunning reception and bar. The bar has a great selection of unique cocktails and lovely wines. We didn't eat dinner at L'Atelier, however, the menu looked splendid and will definitely try dinner next time. We had a beautiful suite with perfectly appointed bathrooms, lounge, desk and bedroom. In the evening before a recital we enjoyed a lovely glass of wine on the terrace. Will absolutely be back with my partner.”

“Located near the old town, 2minutes walking. People who work there were well mannered and extremely helpful. The room was really clean and had all amenities including coffee machine with capsules but did not have slippers. Breakfast was really good with a huge variety of things to choose from, everything was fresh and the guys working in the breakfast area were always so polite. Definitely visiting again when in town.”

Strada General H. M. Berthelot 9, București 010164, Romania

“I have visited this hotel on 31st of January. I had a business meeting and I waited my business partner in the lobby. The receptionist on duty was a lady who probably worked before in a state owned hotel or somewhere where kindness or being polite is considered a bad joke. She answered all my questions with a rude tone, questioning and completing every one of my sentences. -Is possible to have a cup of coffee in the restaurant? -You can have a coffee if this is all you want to drink... After waiting 5 minutes, the restaurant was empty and nobody asked us abour our order, I went out and asked the receptionist about the waiter. - A certain person should come. -Can you call this person and tell her that there are people waiting to be served? -How should I know where this person is ? I sincerely give owner a free advice. Get rid of this receptionist asap.”

Calea Griviței 143B, București 010708, Romania

“We booked for 1 night as we were traveling to Sinaia the next day to ski and this hotel was really close to the train station. The check-in and checkout process went all smoothly and quick, but there were a few things which we didn’t appreciate. The bed mattress was a very small and uncomfortable (definitely needs to be replaced as it seemed we were sleeping on the floor) and the heating/AC was old and didn’t work. The worse experience we had was at breakfast. After having a continental breakfast, we came to the room to pick up our stuff and went downstairs to refill our bottle of water. Once we got there and started to fill our bottle, we were shouted by the staff, which was really embarrassing as there were dozens of guests having breakfast. They then kept saying we couldn’t have it and asked us to pay for a bottle of water at the reception area, which means we couldn’t fill our bottle with tap water from the breakfast area as they thought we weren’t guests… ridiculous. Water should be free for everyone, even if you aren’t a guest. Then the manager got involved, asked for our room number both started to apologize. We didn’t appreciate how we were treated as this was our first time visiting Romania.”

Union Plaza Hotel & Sky Bar

Union Plaza Hotel, Bulevardul Unirii 47C, București 030825, Romania

“We chose this hotel spontaneously; difficulties arose with the booked accommodation, so we chose Union Plaza from the options offered. It turned out to be a great hotel! We regretted not booking it right away. There is a good aroma from the entrance, a pleasant interior, the room is clean. The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise; in addition to the fact that it takes place on the 12th floor, with a view of the city, it has quite a variety of dishes. Of the minuses: 1) We booked a double bed at booking, but they gave us a room with two single beds. In general, this did not affect our vacation, since these single beds did not move apart, and we stayed for 2 nights and because of this we no longer wanted to ask for a new room. However, we paid 300 lei more for a room with a double bed. 2) We had a problem with the door card. When, after opening the door, you have to put it in a special cardholder on the wall for electricity to appear in the room, it went off 3 times and the electricity turned off. It was a little annoying, but it didn't interfere with the rest. 3) There was no kettle or coffee machine in the room. 4) The window did not open “up”; only if you open the window completely, you can ventilate the room. Some may be scared that the hotel is located away from the central districts. But in fact there were no problems with this, because it cost about 15 lei to get to the center by taxi, and 3 lei by bus. Buses run frequently and taxis arrive in 2 minutes. But for those who like to walk, then 15 minutes and you are in the center.”

Hotel Răzvan

Calea Călărași 159, București 030614, Romania

“Before choosing this hotel I read the reviews which all were good, the staff were very friendly, food was good etc. This could not have been further from the truth unfortunately. We interacted with the staff 3 times in all and actually the interaction consisted of me standing there while they were on the phone ignoring us. Twice we had to walk away without even being acknowledged. The rooms air con was poor at best as such we didn't sleep due to the heat. We paid for bed and breakfast.....on our 2nd day we went for breakfast. We were the only ones there the bread was stale the staff put the kettle on then left when I went to make coffee there was none. In all we couldn't eat anything and didn't even get a coffee. I thought I was supporting one of the smaller hotels by staying there and also based on the reviews it seemed like a decent place. Didn't need to be 5 star etc. So disappointed to say I would never ever stay here again and unfortunately I can't even recommend it.”

10 Visarion street, București 010424, Romania

“The worst! A reservation made on 2/07/2023 confirmed, arrived in Bucharest we call the owner who tells us that we would see each other at 2 pm, arrived on the spot we contacted the same for 20 minutes without receiving a response and then receive from Booking the cancellation of the reservation without any reason and without receiving an apology from the property of the structure. We had to organize to find another structure and you can imagine on foot with three suitcases the inconvenience caused. Beware of this property and its low prices per night. I hope that Booking can eliminate this structure from its search engine so as not to cause other inconvenience to other customers.”
