“A great place to stay. First, the staff at this hotel is wonderful. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. I can't compliment them highly enough. The hotel decor is an eye catching mixture of what I can best describe as industrial pop culture. It's sort of unusual, but works magnificently. Spotlessly clean. Our room was comfortable and thoughtfully designed. The bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast was deliciously prepared, although I would have liked to have seen more variety in the choices over the 4 days we spent there. Still, there are enough options that I was able to vary my choices to add some variety. I don't think you could ask for a better location. It's close to everything. I was able to walk to all the major attractions inside Reykjavik and there are lots of great restaurants nearby. The only downside with the location is that the airport bus cannot stop in front of the hotel and they have to stop a block away, so there is a short walk with suitcases and such to get to the hotel. However, it's well worth it. This is a great hotel and we had a very enjoyable stay.”

“Excellent location in the heart of Reykjavik, near shops, restaurants, etc. the hotel facilities were good although it is not of a 4 star quality; our room was clean but small, no cupboard and not space to place our things, we found the bathroom was not enough heated; service and breakfast was satisfactory, most staff helpful and friendly except for one lady at the reception the day of our departure, (long story I’d rather spare the details) in short, she was very rude, cold as ice, zero empathy!! I was extremely chocked with her attitude, reason why I rate 3; what a shame!”

“Excellent service, extremely well located especially for tours and to walk downtown. Very quiet rooms, very clean and staff very polite and helpful. I would recommend it to everyone. We had an issue with a tour at some point and the front staff desk and their manager did everything they could to have it solved in a timely manner and to our satisfaction. We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Breakfast is also included and it was really good, buffet style. No wonder why their reviews are so high! Thank you to this wonderful staff including the cleaning ladies ❤️”

“Friendly staff, lovely rooms and parking close by. Had no complains with this hotel, stayed 2 nights as part of our trip around Iceland. Was very close and central in Reykjavík and everything you need is within walking distance. The only very minor thing for me was the choice of breakfast items in the breakfast dining area but this is due to my personal opinion just wished there was more of a selection. Apart from that this hotel still deserves 5 stars from me!”

“Decent place to stay all round. The breakfast was good most days, just your tankard continental with a few hot English breakfast bits. It was about a 10 minute walk to the start of the main high street which was good. Staff were all friendly and helpful, would recommend staying here.”
